Have you noticed a difference in SQ on your end with this upgrade?
When updating from EA to the official firmware, always a complete factory reset will startet.
It won’t let me do the update. I connect the network cable to the RS151 and nothing happens. In fact, I go to search for the update where it belongs and it doesn’t work either. We’re off to a bad start again! Unless it has something to do with the fact that I’m in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the update isn’t available for a South American country yet? hmmm dunno

Why the liars? There are people who are happy with the sound with this software, which is poor for you, so Rose can say the same about you.
Secondly, how did the new software affect the DAC? The colleague who wrote about the update and is happy with it has a Rose RS 130, which, as we know, doesn’t have a DAC. You still think they tampered with the DAC…

I can confirm that the upgrade went smoothly and that it is better than 5.9.07 in every way.

I conducted the update on my RS130 today, it went flawlessly. I have not streamed Qobuz yet but I played my library songs from my internal SSD.
I can confirm that my system is much more revealing and resolving now. In the past I really could not hear the difference between FLAC and ALAC files. Since the update the difference could not be more striking. In a double blind test I was able to correctly distinguish between the two formats. 51.7% of the time I was able to identify the ALAC file when played back to back with the identical recording encoded with FLAC. I am floored with this update!
Je viens de faire la mise à niveau…comme je ne savais plus mon code PIN (quelle idée à la con ce truc!!), j’ai du réinitialiser le RS130 en mode usine…tout c’est bien passé, sauf que quand j’ai envoyé la musique, le Rose s’était remis en volume fixe…j’ai failli casser mes chambres de compression (le Rose est branché directement en AES sur mon filtre actif numérique)…je ne remercie pas le staff de Rose sur ce coup là, il pourrait faire une mise en garde!
With great apprehension, I updated my RS250A. After the usual issue of not being able to find the built-in SSD, I got things working. So far so good.

I have updated my Rose RS130 and everything is fine with it.
Its quite possible that you can’t see the update notification yet.
I don’t know how they’re rolling out the updates… Its quite possible that they are doing the roll outs in stages as to not overwhelm their servers.
The other thing to remember… depending on where you live. ROK is in a different time zone. So while its 6:33 pm CST (Chicago Time) its 8:32am in Seoul.
