After firmware update almost 200 albums on local SSD has genre as Unknown. On computer in Xrecode or Tagscanner and before update everything was ok. Please fix it.
Same here. Fine before update - now I get many albums with “unknown” and many are double scanned - half the songs are have a prefix that makes them unplayable and the rest work fine.
I have yet to see a solution but haven’t tried a factory reset yet.
My 250 worked fine before upgrading to 5.7.05. After upgrade, many issues came up. When playing an album, it jumps to another album all of the sudden. Another more serious issue is that after playing one song, when the next song starts, no sound comes out from the speakers even the screen shows that the song is being played. I need to pause and play the same song again then the sound comes up. Please HELP.

It seems that all systems have gone crazy.
First to say that I haven’t updated my 250A to the new version because I’m terrified to think what could happen. My current version is 4.19
Since a few days the Android tablet with app version 5.7.05.9
It tells me that it is not registered.
I understand that if it is registered then it works perfectly and also in this image you can see the correct connection.
I go to device management and it says it is not connected but it doesn’t give any options.
The warning constantly appears, this one and the one to update the 250A, which I obviously don’t do. Two annoying and useless warnings.
In the Windows application, this connection warning does not appear the problems are others that now is not the time to comment.
I have reinstalled the Android app and the problem persists.
I have had the equipment for a year and have used it daily without any problems.
I’m writing this here in case the problem is due to not having updated.
I remain in the waiting queue for solutions. Thanks to all.
Just update to the latest version of the software. The developer has fixed almost all the bugs. Everything works much better than in the previous version. Just give it a try and stop complaining.

Dear Hi-Fi Rose users
If the RoseConnect app and Rose device have different versions, device registration is not possible. The Rose device software version must be 5.7 to be able to register the device on the Rose device.
If you update the Rose device to 5.7, you will see the menu as shown in the picture below.
Rose device–>Settings–>Device management–>Register
Now look at the message above and draw your conclusions about who among us is illiterate. Arrogant cuckold…

following ROSEHAN’s recommendations I have updated my 250A to version 5.7 (Official) and my Android tablet to the latest version available on Google Play. I have subsequently registered the device again and indeed the message “Please register the device …,” has disappeared. Thanks.
But it is not all good news, now in the Windows APP the SDD has disappeared although the music files are there. Consequently it cannot be indexed new albums. The same thing happens on an Android device.
You have to understand that the software is not as intuitive and user-friendly as you would wish. It is a bit overwhelming for my mind, but I finally understood it and have been happy with the device. But today it seems that everything is going backwards and what I want is to listen to music, not fight every day with the device and its software. Waiting for solutions.

Would you care to explain why Hifi Rose doesn’t take a more prudent approach to software development? I feel that you as a company release a final version too soon. Hence, a lot of consumer dissatisfaction.
E.g. in your EA program you step from 5.6.05 to final 5.7.05, where that EA version didn’t seem to be fail free.
After achieving fail free alpha, beta and release candidate versions, only then a final version may be released. And quickly followed by fixes of remaining bugs.

It seems that little by little my system is working and I am able to understand it. I say this because as a user of Ibasso Digital Audio Player I can affirm that, without ceasing to be something strange, Ibasso is easier, intuitive mainly it does not give absurd programming errors.
I have to say that fortunately the indexing or scanning of the database is now extremely fast (9,521 files, 735 folders)
About my Rose 350A, everything updated to the latest version, the 350A, the APP on Windows 10 and the APP on Android, it seems to work reasonably well and stable on Android, not so well on Windows.
Even so, I allow myself to make some comments that may be helpful. Observations derived from 5.5 hours of dedication to the system and its software when I should have dedicated them to listening to music.
1- Windows APP: When you access Setting / Media library / Library On screen you can read “Not connected”. Not connected but if you access to 3 points on the right it gives the option to “Rescan DB”. This option works well. I can deduce that it is connected.
On the other hand, the cover art has almost all disappeared and the last added albums do not appear. In Music / Album the albums do not appear, I can read “List is empty”. All this among other malfunctions.
2- Android APP: When you access Setting / Media library / The appearance has changed (I think) with respect to previous versions. With the latest version available if you access the 3 points on the right the option “Add DB” appears. This option works well.
Note: It would be necessary to unify the texts “Rescan DB” and “Add DB” the function is the same and it would be simpler for slow and clumsy users like me.
3 - The problems that occur with the cover art of the albums. Problems with albums that are split into two, problems with duplicate albums and their descriptions and artists, in my case it is caused by the metadata and tags of the files and also by words contained in the folder name. I think that the Hifi Rose system to classify files, albums and cover art uses the “Album” field of the metadata to make decisions about how to sort and what cover art to assign to the songs in the folder containing the album.
I say this because I have been struggling with The Montreal Tapes Box set by the great Charlie Haden downloaded from Qobuz. Qobuz delivers the box with a unique cover art for the 6 CDs in the box, Windows and Hifi Rose recognizes this unique cover art for the 6 CDs. I manually assigned a specific cover art to each folder of each CD, the original one. There was no way that Hifi Rose would accept the change, the cover art provided by Qobuz always applied. I had to modify the “album” field of the metadata so that Hifi Rose would recognize a cover art for each album and CD folder.
On the other hand, there are second and third series of CDs that contain different metadata for the different songs, this makes Hifi Rose think that they are different albums and consequently creates more than one album for the same CD.
I imagine that you already know this problem but if it helps someone I’m happy.
