Playback doesn’t start when clicking on an album track

When I select an album I can only start playback when I click on the big arrow underneath the cover. Clicking on the separate tracks does only bring up the ‘waiting circle’ for a moment, but nothing happens. I can only select separate tracks in the list after selecting the hamburger/music note icon.
What happened? I don’t remember this from before.

RS250A and iOS Rose app. Latest versions. Restarted both

Best,
Hans.

@HansRoggen

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
I have a few questions.

  1. Is the album you are trying to play stored on your USB external hard drive or SSD?
  2. If you try to play one track in an album in Tidal, Qobuz, or Apple Music, does it not work?
  3. Can you try reinstalling the RoseConnect app after deleting it?
  4. When you press and play a track and there is no playback, what pop-up message appears?

Thank you

HI Rosehan,

  1. No, it’s not
  2. Yes, selecting a track in either service does not start playback.
  3. I did, to no avail. Stil the same problem.
  4. No message. Just the golden circle that appears when you have to wait a little.

Best,
Hans

Addition: I can’t play any single track by clicking on them. Whether they are on an album, or different tracks by an artist or tracks in any playlist or search results.
This is really very annoying. It makes playing one single song almost impossible.

I have also tried a factory reset without result.

@ROSEHAN

Addition 2:

I hadn’t noticed before because I rarely use the screen in the 250 to play music, but all the above goes for when I try to select and play a track using the screen on the Rose so it’s not limited to the iOS app.

It’s fixed. I went through all the music playing options one by one and suddenly it was working again. So if anyone ever comes across this problem, shuffle through the playback options until you find you can select separate tracks again.
