There really are two parallel conversations going on here, one on power behavior (OP) and one on whether the Rose “streamers” are intended for primarily 2ch setups (Carnelian). My “tangent” is on the latter. To me the Rose is just another source like a disc player or Tivo or Apple TV and that it can be integrated into a home theater just as easily as it could be the centerpiece of a 2ch system. Perhaps his post about people not reading the specifications before purchasing “triggered” me.

I am done commenting on this topic other than to reiterate that Rose could consider triggers on future products. But given the more serious concerns that I read about on this forum, a trigger is arguably low priority even though it would help some people.
