Hello,

The version with the fix for this issue is scheduled to be released soon.
Our goal is to have it distributed within this week.

Best Regards,

Just because it is working for you doesn’t mean it works on other users gear as well.

Didn’t mean it in exclusion of others,sorry. Just saying that I am not having any problems.

Is there a possibility to decline update and that user interface is not asking every time when you start to make an update? It is annoying.

@Burle

After the update is distributed, if your Rose device is not the latest version, a pop-up will appear asking you to update to the latest version. However, you can decline the update in the update pop-up.

If there is a version you want to revert to, please tell me the model name and version of your Rose device by email below, and I will send you the update file and update method.

If an update appears, say for the RS 151, it means that engineers have developed fixes that have an impact on improving the device’s operation. Otherwise, it would make no sense, my question is why would the user not do this update, but listen on the current version of the software of their device? After all, it is supposed to improve, for example, the stability of the device, eliminate some errors from the previous update, improve the operation of the device.
To sum up, in my opinion, there is no point in going back to a previous version of the software, only the latest version needs to be refined and anomalies that occur with owners of devices that occurred after the latest update was installed should be eliminated.

On updates of the Dac RD160, users complained about a degraded sound which forced the developers to put a previous program back online.

Unfortunately, updates are not always beneficial.

Being scalded (Rs150b, Rd 160 and now Rs130) I only make an update some time after its release

I find it hard to understand how sometimes they release a new update that doesn’t improve anything and just makes things worse. How can that be?

When something works as it should, it’s best to leave it as it is…

Just look here.

Indeed, thank you, Gilles.
I’m leaving my RD160 with its current firmware version, which suits me very well.

Hmm, what a disaster! I’m constantly hesitating to continue with Hifi Rose. I’m thinking about upgrading to an RS151 and leaving my beloved old RS250A behind. Every time I come to the forum and read other users’ posts, my hair stands on end.

I could not get the Qobuz Connect app on my iPad to pair with my RS130 until I disabled DST and rebooted. However when I did finally connect to the RS130 using Qobuz Connect I experienced the same problem that many others have noted, the cutting off of the ends and beginnings of songs, which is unacceptable. I switched back to Rose Connect and that problem went away. I will wait until the next software update before I try Qobuz Connect again.

Yea, that’s pretty embarrassing when showing off your system, too :grimacing:

I’m a new RS151, I’ve performed the necessary software updates, and I have the latest version 5.9 installed. I discovered a software bug.

When you play an SACD ISO file, you don’t have the arrow to exit the menu and go back. You have to press the ROSE ICON in the top right corner to exit.

When do you plan to release a new version of the Firmware and Software?

@JMBARG

When playing SACD ISO files, the back arrow does not appear, and users must tap the ROSE icon to return to the previous menu.
This is a known UI issue, and we’ve already reported it to our software development team.

ROSEHAN.

Thanks for your reply. One question: how do I delete all the unnecessary folders RS151 creates on my external USB hard drive?

@JMBARG

There are two ways to do this.
You cannot delete music files stored on a USB external hard drive connected to the RS151.

  1. Connect your USB external hard drive to your PC and delete music files from there.

  2. Connect your RS151 to your PC wirelessly and delete music files from there.
    Please check the video below and reconnect your Rose device to your PC via network.
