Rose 2023 Wishlist

Hello all, I have an old Macintosh Labs DAC D100 and an Accuphase A46 Pure Class A amp. I use a BlueSound Node 2i just for the transport, not as a DAC of course. When You are talking about a Transport, you are talking about digital signal only. There is no analogic processing. So there is only two things to consider, the End 2 End quality of the numerical signal transport and the User Experience (UX) of the User Interface and its applications. For the fisrt part, the RS130 is certainly one of the best. The circuitry limits the data packets loss and then the use of a corrective algorythm to regenerate the missing digital packets. But the RS130 UX is based on an old AndroĆÆd system with a limited number of applications as numerical sources. As a French user, i use Deezer as my favorite streaming source. This source is not supported by the RS130. So currently, from my personal opinion as a pure transport system, the best one for those both criterias is the Eversolo DPM-A6, even the A6 Master Edition or A8 are useless as a pure transport. They are better for the DAC part but less than a D100. I currenlty replaced my Node with the Eversolo A6. So the main wish to request from Hifi Rose is a better UX based on a modern OS and a more complete list of streaming sources compatibility with a better UX. In addition, having a DSP with a real digital equalizer could be also a good idea. But if you are able to pay around 5.000 $ for only a numerical transport then you can pay for a high-end digital equalizer like the Accuphase DG-68. But i can insure that I will change to a Rose immediatly when they will produce a better UX with a better OS and potentially a dedicated DSP circuitry because the finishing of their products is just terrific with the full display, diamond buttons and logo design. Just remember about what Jonathan Ive, the designer of the last Apple products (Mac, Iphone, etcā€¦) wrote about Design. Design is not only how it looks, itā€™s also how it works. This is my plilosophy.

One thing I would wish for is ā€œfade-outā€ when changing songs/tracks so that itā€™s not abrupt. Conductor(Aurender) does this

I believe there is a setting for that.

Do tell. Iā€™ve searched & do not seeā€¦.

Thanks, but this does not appear in 250a audio settings menu.

I did not know that. I have an RS30. It is there.

@RBear

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

The above settings must be set directly on your RS250a. Unlike RS250a, the RoseConnect app does not support many functions
