I have just received an email from Rose announcing the release of « ROSE OS Ver.5.9 ».
Yet I cannot find any mention on the website neither on the community site.
My RS520 does not show anything (I run the latest AE).
Is this to good to be true an announcement that leaked ahead of schedule?

Normally when you boot up your device, on the screen there should be a message like “there is a new firmware available, do you like to update yes or no.”
With my RS150b it was like that.
Maybe you have to turn off “use early access” to get the latest official one.
My RS130 it’s been updating to the new software for the last 90 minutes and still is stuck on the screen saying “software update do not turn it off” … What can I do? Should I keep waiting ?
Select roll back to official release and it will install the new one
Safely, can I turn it off? The screen does not show anything else other than the message. And logo.
I have just updated my RS520 to OS 5.9 and after this, eARC did not work properly anymore in combination with my Samsung TV. It worked flawlessly with OS 5.7, but with OS 5.9 the TV always switches back to its built in speaker when manually switched to HDMI output. Though the RS520 turnes on automatically when the TV ist switched on, the sound will only be played over the built-in-speaker of the TV. Really annoying.
However, I recognized that the new “eARC Always Connected” feature seems to cause this trouble. When set to OFF, everything works well again. When set to ON, the TV sound cannot be played via HDMI over the RS520. After switching the TV sound to HDMI, it automatically switches back to the internal speaker after just one second. Can anybody tell me the deeper sense of the ARC Always Connected feature and why HiFi Rose did set it to ON by default?
By the way, the current iPadOS version of the rose App crashes occasionally. Sorry, but does anybody at HiFi ROSE make some testings before publishing such erroneous software?
This might just be your specific machine and app.
Try installing them again and if the issue persists, or hopefully is solved.
Is there somewhere list of new addons , fixes and release notes? I didn’t receive it by e-mail.

Thank you a lot; I manager to update to the latest OS 5.9 doing a roll back on main software which instantly proposed me with the latest. Everything went fine.
This by the way got me rid of the thumbnail issue.

Since updating my RS130 to 5.9 I have lost the Roon Album artwork display. It shows the track information but no album artwork. This is rather annoying - is there any way to get it back?
I did a full reboot of the RS130 from the Rose Connect app and that has fixed the issue - please consider this s non-issue 
New official 5.9.02 Version including XMOS update afterwards.
With Qobuz connect listening to an album, following the next title, each beginning of a track “stutters”.
Together with a very short cratching noise.
This one is very important to solve quick !
So, no one else has issues with the new “eARC Always Connected” feature set to ON?
Can anybody tell me what this feature is all about? Since everything works fine with my RS520 when it is set to OFF, I would like to know its purpose.
For me, HDMI ARC/eARC is very important, since I always watch TV with the sound being played over my RS520.
The “eARC Always Connected” feature keeps the HDMI eARC connection active even when the RS520 is in standby mode.
This can help ensure faster and more stable audio connections with your TV.
If everything works well with the setting OFF, you can keep it that way.
But if you experience any ARC/eARC issues, turning it ON may help.

I have the same problem with the same combination.
If I have the RS520 in standby, eARC is not working. I have to shut off the unit and restart the Amp. Why ist that. Before the release, everything was perfect …
In my case it’s exactly the opposite. SONY TV. Finally I can set the equipment so that if ROSE is off the sound comes from the TV speakers and when it’s on - it switches to the HiFi speakers. It works as it should, in previous versions regardless of the settings, the amplifier always turned on, which was not good for me.
