Go to the Input Selection, e.g. by Clicking on „eARC - INTERNAL“ of the Status Bar on the main screen. Then, click on the tooth wheel of the INPUT field („eARC IN“ should be selected by a hook) and switch off „Always Connected“. Finally confirm by clicking on the upper right hand side. After this, your Samsung TV should work again as expected.
Dear all,
since 2 days I am a proud owner of the new RS151, a really wonderful product. I updated from an Eversolo DMP- A8, wich is also a very good streamer/DAC, especially for the price.
Now my question and problem:
It is impossible, to update the firmware to 5.9. My system is stuck to 5.7. and shows no update since nearly 48h online or in standby.
What can I do? Does anyone have an idea?
Network is stable via cable, no wifi established. Qobuz runs smoothly via the Rose app.
Thanks a lot for your help!
Bernd
Hi,
You can perhaps switch to EA (Early Access), update to EA version and then come back to standard.
It seems that version 5.9 creates more problems than solutions. I’ll wait for another version to be released with the appropriate fixes.
Hello @alain204 ,
First, please go to RS520 > Input/Output Settings > Settings and set Always Connected to OFF, then check the how it works.
We are currently reviewing the additional issues you mentioned.
Hi noBru77,
thanks for your reply.
I already changed to 5.8 EA, switch back to “official version” is also not possible, nsystem says “You are already using the latest version” …
Really strange
2-1. Return to the Official version from Early Access
Thank you MuP,
I tried your procedure for at least 10 times, no “Roll back” to the latest official version possible.
It seems my RS 151 does not connect to the update server correctly.
Of course, the URL- setting is not changed from factory setting
Sorry, a new official release was just released for the RS151 (what about the other device types??). Maybe it’ll work now…
Finally this new version works, my streamer likes the updated firmware a lot!
Thanks for your help
Yes they do. And we are all able to download the early releases and even participate, The fact that users have so many different devices and operating systems and communication protocols makes it virtually impossible to identify and test every single scenario.
Those who don’t have an RS151 are screwed and hope they deign to release a decent version for the rest of the products…
There is no set update schedule for devices other than the RS151.
However, there are some areas that need to be fixed, so we will distribute the update as soon as possible.
