lol. Anyone surprised?
@ROSEHAN while I appreciate the attempt at transparency the fact that Roon can’t test the RS130 via wired and wireless would be a non-starter for me too. Roon has to assure compatibility. We are 3 months without Roon as advertised. Why don’t you have your USA distributor FedEx the dongle to Roon in NY tomorrow, one day.
And why does the RS130 included Wi-Fi dongle not work for Roon. Should we be concerned. I assume this is the one we all got?
Dear Rosehan …. This is a classic delay tactic. You might be technically competent, but basically you (Rose) are being taught a lesson by Roon not to ever take a device out to market and call it Roon Ready - when you have not completed the certification.
If you solve this technical issue, you will have another one that needs to be “tested”, and so on.
Get someone senior enough at Rose to call the right folks at Roon, and apologise - and promise that you guys will never do this again (of launching a product as Roon Ready - before certification is completed ). Suddenly all your technical issues will be “tested” and resolved… and the RS 130 will be Roon Ready. And I and everyone on this forum will be happy.
Don’t just read the language. Understand what this means.
Well spoken, Racer. Kudos.
Agree wholeheartedly with this take and what is actually happening here. But as far as I’m concerned, the customers are the only ones that are being punished. Hi-fi Rose doesn’t seem to care even the slightest.
Someone from the executive leadership needs to have a presence on this forum / community and address this issue first and foremost and engage on the additional ongoing issues.
@rosehan and @ROSELOA 4 months since the RS130 was released and marketed as ROON READY yet still no ROON. No more excuses Hifi Rose what is the deal. Roon says this is all due to Hifi Rose and Hifi Rose should not have advertised the device as ROON READY in advance of certification. Is this device ever going to be ROON certified. I would suggest you immediately update this group and provided daily updates on what steps Hifi Rose is taking to remedy this issue. Many of us purchased this device as a ROON centerpiece of our system and 4 months later and many missed dates there is still no insight into when our devices will be compatible with ROON as advertised. What is Hifi Rose actually doing to remedy this issue. And ignoring the multiple “like,” question is not an acceptable tactic.
Whining in every subforum ain’t gonna help either. Roon will certify it when Roon will certify it. Could take 3 years.
Yeah, I am sure they are hiding the fact that they can read minds of Roon employees and provide any information!!!
You’re either on the payroll, or a troll, or both “Boris”
Yes, this lie from Rose is absolutely unacceptable, this situation is making me angry internally.
I wish they did. Alas, I only know how software development process works. When people with absolutely no idea about software development, Roon certification process, or how digital audio works keep whining in “are we there yet??? waaahhhhh” in every subforum it is annoying. And won’t make the certification happen any faster.
I do hope that Rose sells as many 130’s as they can make – margins on these trinkets must be astronomical, and then they could invest in better software development. But really, you bought a device which is not in Roon’s “Roon Ready” database ( see here ), which is the only official channel for certification status, and which has very little practical purpose, how is Rose’s, let alone the two people trying their best to provide support for it.
If you are so unhappy with Rose, you could always sell it and buy almost 2 Integra DRX 8.4 receivers. At least those are useful for something. And also are supposed to be Roon Ready. Oh, wait!..
Ah, that tracks. Well please, keep enlightening us with your ”knowledge” and pepper it with as many cry baby comments you want. The dopamine rush must be amazing!!!
Some people aren’t capable of being enlightened. And don’t want to either.
Maybe you should ask on Roon Labs’ support what the hold-up is, let’s see how far that gets you.
HIFI Rose already posted what the holdup is. The lack of a qualified Wi-Fi adapter from HIFI rose supplied to Roon is the most recent holdup, prior to that was HIFI Rose sending the RS130 to the wrong Roon address adding significant delays. Not inflaming this issue just reporting what HIFI Rose already posted.
We don’t know the latest status as none has been provided since 10/31. Roon refers all customer inquiries back to the vendor aka HIFI Rose. So we are in a black hole of info at the moment.
I also believe Roon was holding technical feedback for HIFI Rose until they could conduct a qualified WI-FI VERIFICATION which couldn’t be conducted due to issue #1.
That was a while ago, Roon most likely has the dongle. They are quite notorious for not commenting oin certification status as a matter of principle. They are also known for taking time to do anything simply due to limited manpower. For all we know, RS130 might be sitting in the backroom behind a row of Anthems and Pioneers that were promised to be certified years ago. If they do not have any specific requests or recommendations to Rose, they may not provide any status updates whatsoever. Rose needs the certification as much as you do. When Roon gets around to it, we’ll know.
my RS130 is super buggy. constant problems. if i was Roon i certainly wouldn’t be motivated to attach my brand to it. given how many people have problems, i’m sure Roon is too.
any recent update? I paid a lot of money for this device to use it on roon (box said roon ready)
