I returned the RSA 720 to my dealer, to send it to the importer in Switzerland and order a new one updated with the new firmware
When you will receive the new RSA720, please communicate here the manufacturing date of the product and the software version.
Dear HiFi Rose users
If you are experiencing compatibility issues, please send the update file you are using to the email below:eunseong96@citech.kr
If the issue continues after updating, please provide the MAC address of your RSA720.
Based on that, we can send you a customized module that includes the latest compatibility improvements.
Rosehan what does “update file” mean to you and how can it be obtained???
For RSA720 you sent only one update file, VL671_82_00_42_00_RSA720_20230906, which as you can see is old from 06. Sept. 2023!!!
I brought back the RSA 720 to my HI-FI dealer with the update file sent to me by ds Rose but it is impossible to update. I have been waiting for two weeks from the importer in Switzerland for a new updated and working RSA 720. I hope to have it within the next week. Two weeks is not possible for a simple replacement.
At the moment, that file is indeed the latest version.
For more information regarding the RSA720, please check the link below:
- So in 2 years and 3 months you couldn’t produce any update!!! Bravo!!!
Rosehan can you tell us in how many years we will see the first update? - In the link you refer to in your answer there is no information from HiFi Rose!!!
We apologize for the inconvenience.
If the issue continues after updating, please send the MAC address of your RSA720 to the email below.
Based on that information, we can provide you with a customized module that includes the latest compatibility improvements.

The most unprofessional rollout of any consumer product I have ever seen and zero respect for the customers who purchased the item. This is not accountability this is deflection.
As usual, off-topic response…No words…
I no longer have any hope for this company.
Rosehan, could you make an effort and concentrate and answer those two questions? It’s not hard!
We do not plan to release additional updates for this issue.
Regarding the compatibility problem between the RSA720 and RS130, if it is not resolved after applying the update file I previously sent, we have confirmed that replacing the module permanently fixes the issue.
Please refer to the link below for more details:
Today it’s been three weeks since I brought back a new RSA 720 that didn’t work with fiber optics and I have no news about it. I asked for a replacement with a new and updated one. Incredible, no news. In total, I spent $5,500 between the RSA 130 and the 720. Unacceptable.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
Could you please confirm the following information?
- Have you sent your RS130 and RSA720 to the distributor in the country where you purchased them?
- Please let us know which dealer or distributor you contacted regarding the issue.
- Have you tried updating the RSA720 to the latest firmware?
I only brought back RSA 720 where I bought it, they tried to update it immediately without success and I think contacted the distributor in Switzerland for the replacement
My supplier contacted the distributor but he only has the old RSA 720 with the old software and is waiting for the new models. My supplier is angry. It is not possible that the distributor has not updated. It will take a long time before I can use the RSA 720 I have already paid for.
@rosehan,
a question, but do you inform the importers of the problems, solutions, and procedures for resolving them? In Switzerland, it seems they only have older RSA 720 models and not updated them with the new, software. We end users, who spend quite a bit of money, have to wait for them to make a new order for updated RSA 720s. It will be at least another month before my excellent, trusted dealer, , receives my equipment and delivers it to me, hoping it works.
Quod erat demonstrandum !!!
@DMHB9
Have to ask… and there’s no wrong answer…
Rose ships them boxed units.
Distributor puts them on the shelf.
Ships them to dealers still in closed boxes…
If the firmware is updated… are you asking for Rose’s distributors and dealers to open the boxes, pull them out… put them on the bench, so they can power them up to update the firmware and then re-box them?
If so, would you still consider them to be NIB?
IMHO, I’d say don’t do it.
Unless you want to sell it as an open box and discount it…
@Smegel
Hi thanks for replying to my post.
Of course, it’s their job to deliver working and updated products, or do you prefer to pay to receive a non-working product? It’s not like my Rose 130 that updates automatically. My trusted shop has electronics and IT technicians and they haven’t been able to update the RSA 720. Or does Rose collect the non-updated 720s and send the updated and working products to the importers, or does the importer do it? I, the end user, want a working product. I don’t want to waste time testing and trying the various solutions proposed in the forums. Going back to my dealer to return the new and non-working product is the importer’s job, not mine. To date, after three weeks, I still haven’t received what I paid for because the importer doesn’t know how to do his job and, knowing about the problems, only has old RSAs from 2023 that aren’t updated. If you prefer to pay for non-working products, No, I’m not interested in a closed or open box. I’m interested in a perfect product that doesn’t give me problems, even if it’s the cheapest product. I have the RSA 720 and I have much more expensive cables. Even in Switzerland, we don’t give away money.
Furthermore, here it is not customary to give discounts even if you buy a rs 130 you will receive a discount if due to a problem with the importer or roses the owner of my trusted shop who is a dear friend of mine has to send a technician to my house every hour it costs at least $ 150 therefore on a product that sells for $ 400 he is already at a clear loss

incredible, my very good dealer has continuously urged the importer and today I received the new RSA 720. I will install it in the next few days hoping that it is updated and that it works with fibre optics.
