I now have a problem when ripping CD to my laptop, it takes on average 35 minutes for one CD when it use take 7 minutes in the past. I have this unit for only 10 months and it is now giving me trouble. I tried with another cheap CD player and it work flawlessly with 7 minutes or so. Considering ROSE RSA-780 is kind of expensive I would expect better quality and reliability. Am I the only one with this problem and can someone help me with fixing this problem?
You could maybe run a CD lens cleaner in it and see if that helps.
Also, what software are you using for ripping? It might tell you why it is being so slow.
If the RSA780 now takes much longer to rip CDs, please try the following:
-
Connect the RSA780 directly to your laptop’s USB port (not through a hub).
-
Try a different USB cable or port.
-
Use a CD lens cleaner to remove any dust on the optical lens.
-
Test the RSA780 on another computer to see if the same issue occurs.
Normally, one CD should take about 6–8 minutes to rip.
