That’s exactly what I’ve been doing… listening to my fav tracks and playlists all over again! I have the RS130 and went from the PS Audio Stellar Gold DAC to the RD160 about a week ago now. I really enjoyed the Stellar Gold, but I am beyond thrilled with the RD160!
I have the SFP kit and have had zero issues since connecting a week ago (RS130 and RD160). SFP and I2S are by far my favorite connections so far. I do want to spend more time with the AES connection though
I’m using the Amphenol SF-SFPP2EPASS-002 between my RS130/RD160 and I have not noticed any unwanted sounds at all. The Amphenol was an immediate and apparent improvement in sound over the HiFi Rose SFP Kit (not that the SFP Kit was bad or anything). I have not tried the Cisco option yet.
I’ve been tempted to pick one up to try. Im currently using a fiber AOC, and it sounds great. I tried out one of these (10Gtek [Blue] 10G SFP+ DAC Cable - 10GBASE-CU Passive Direct Attach Copper Twinax SFP Cable for Cisco SFP-H10GB-CU2M, Ubiquiti, D-Link, Supermicro, Netgear, Mikrotik, ZTE Devices, 2m : Amazon.ca: Automotive), and it sounds different, but not better. Has anyone compared the Amphenol to something like I bought?

Ciao. Ho visto sul forum che scrivi dall’Italia e usi la coppia Rose Rs130/rd160. Ho le stesse meccaniche e vorrei sapere qcs riguardo al collegamento usb su fibra (sfp). Vale la pena acquistare il kit originale di Rose ? I due apparecchi si possono accendere e spegnere assieme con questa connessione come servizio accessorio ? Grazie molte sé risponderai
