I’ve noticed that on YouTube, there are many reviews of the Eversolo T8…
Yet no or little presence of Rose products.
Looks like a missed opportunity.

First, note that review videos tend to be produced for only new/recently released devices and for only some major device upgrades. ← RS130 is not a new release & it hasn’t had any major device upgrades.
If you see more reviews about Eversolo devices then that indicates there’s been more released Eversolo product models and/or more Eversolo product device upgrades.
The background/knowledge of the various reviewers is a key factor. ← most reviewers don’t have a proven background; hence, don’t receive devices from manufacturers, retailers, etc ← these reviewers can only afford to buy the cheaper devices to review (thus, the cheaper the device, the more youtube reviews).
Also, the market for cheaper devices is a lot bigger than that for more expensive devices. The bigger the market size, the more reviewers, which in turn results in more review videos for Eversolo (The Eversolo T8 is less than ⅓ the price of the RS130).
Don’t get me wrong, many cheaper devices are great for their targeted market.
For certain, only a few proven reputable reviewers (like HiFi Huff) will receive expensive AV system devices for review. Thus, less RS130 reviews.
Since the RS130 review, HiFi Huff has reviewed many other streamer devices of varying price ranges. The only device that he says has better sound than the RS130 is the Nagra Streamer which is 3 times more expensive; however, there’s still a few things he notes that the RS130 is better at.
I like HiFi Huff’s reviews because he always states what type of system a particular device is best for. For example, a Wiim Streamer is for people who like to casually listen to music ← these people don’t care about the technical details & about audio quality specifics (they just want to hear the music). A HiFi Rose RS130 is for higher end system users ← in essence, for more serious audiophile people who sit & seriously listen to the audio, sometimes for hours ← these people own systems that can produce wide deep soundstage music & can seperate musical instrument sounds. Nagra Streamer is for the top hi-end niche market ($100,000+ music systems).
In conclusion, don’t focus on the #of review videos. Focus on reviews from proven reputable reviewers. HiFi Huff will always express the benefits of a device ← he’ll explain why & what type of system you should consider the device for. HiFi Huff never expresses negativity; he expresses the positive characteristics for a device’s intended market/users
Smegel,
You are correct that the HiFi Rose product reviews are many times fewer than those for Eversolo’s products. However, think of the reviewers’ desire for “clicks”. I’m guessing but I think that Eversolo’s volume of units sold is at least 10X that of HiFi Rose. Hence the disparity in reviews.

There are a ton of Audio YT reviewers out there.
Some get product a year later than its release and it takes time to review the product.
When you talk about price, its relative and to the product. For example in dongles and iems they range from $20-$30 USD on the low side up to thousands on the high side.
Eversolo is constantly pushing slightly newer models and designs at different price points sure.
And while on the lower end, they are pushing up.
Yet for stereo, you see reviews at different price points. Hi-Fi Huff for example has 20K pieces of gear and speakers… all over the place. (He does do HiFi Rose reviews.) Old Guy HiFi, I think did a couple, however he refuses to do any ESS based DACs so he would review the high end Rose but not the 451.
The real issue is getting the units out into the public. Its easier for lower cost products to get out there because its a lower cost to the manufacturer.
What makes this interesting is that HiFi Rose is distributed by MoFi here in the states. They have a lot of connections which would make getting the product out there. The RS451 for example solves some of the issues that we see in the RS520… sans an amplifier.
Nor are there any educational videos that show how to operate the product properly.
So there is that…
Many of the reviewers want the affiliate program and Eversolo is almost direct to consumer where they sell on Amazon plus thru dealers.
There also doesn’t appear to be any marketing tie ins… e.g Rose Hi-Fi w Mofi speakers. Or with Mon Acoutsitcs.
Or take some of their streamer DACs and tie into other vendor’s amps. (e.g. RS451 w OA mono blocs.)
I’d be glad to talk w Rose and Mofi since I’m in Chicago…
Smegel,
Have an Affiliate program. Good point.

And that I think is essentially the thing so many of us are frustrated with. The RS130 hardware is superb (at least for those who haven’t had failures). Seeing a company like Eversolo (and even Wiim, for that matter) produce decent hardware for less money - but with a HMI that makes some of the Rose functionality look like it comes out of the Stone Age, is just depressing.
HiFi Rose RS 130/Eversolo T8 is $5,895/$1,380 or 4.27 times the price.
Exactly what I’ve been afraid of. I certainly don’t mind paying more, if I’m getting more…but

So here’s the thing…
Is the T8 close enough to the RS130 in terms of sound?
Or is the RS130’s UX close enough to the T8?
Once you get used to the UX… the RS520 isn’t bad but could be better.
I think the App could use improvement though. It depends on how you use the unit.

I totally agree that HiFi Rose needs to put a large effort in the User Interface. ← effort like they did when people were complaining about the slow scan & the inifite rescan.
I myself is trying to help them by designing a better UIF via the User Interface specific topics (I am doing this “for their consideration”. I’ve worked in software development for 40+ years and been exposed to & developed many UIFs):
ROSEHAN is aware of what I am doing. ROSEHAN has even helped by emailing me some screenshots.
I am trying to encourage HiFi Rose to do a major user interface upgrade for 2026 release. Once the UIF Upgrade is released and reasonably stable, people will be much happier with the HiFi Rose products.
Thereafter HiFi Rose can increase functionality beyond the competition.
joyofmvid,
Great work. Thank you.

Excellent effort on your part. For 25 years of my own career I was the systems engineering design lead for a system that required rapid and intuitive utilization by the human operator, even for somewhat complex, time sensitive operations. The human machine design had to be straightforward even for these complex use cases. Ironically one of our customer organizations was in South Korea (along with other international customers), so we had to make sure the interface logic made sense regardless of cultural differences. Perhaps because of this I’m a bit too critical of the Rose interface, but then I compare it to something like the Squeezebox (now Lyrion) Music Server, whose lineage goes back decades at this point. Even at the start it had playlist management that (IMO) makes RoseConnect look positively crude.
