A friend (yes not a stranger) bought an Eversolo DmpA6 that broke down on unpacking, a few months later he bought an A8 and after a few weeks he went for repair.
The grass is not necessarily greener elsewhere!!
Gillesbonatti,
Certainly if you are talking about hardware, the HiFi Rose products are clearly superior.
The software, not so much, although it is very stable.

Your constant complaining is starting to get annoying.
This is no longer a constructive complaint.
I’ve been wondering for a long time why they don’t work at Hifi Rose.
Remo
Remo,
You’re free to block me. I don’t intend to annoy anyone. The best way I know to stop me from complaining is to pay attention to the complaint and fix the problem.

For a change I would actually (almost) agree with @StandardModel – Rose’s software development organization is utterly amateurish, but if nobody complains – why would they ever fix anything?
I would disagree that the hardware is “superior” in any meaningful way, other than the screen. It’s perfectly fine for what it is and performs just as well as any other brand in this market segment (which is, just as well as a Wiim, but for more money; at least it looks “cool”) but not exactly a pinnacle of unique engineering or anything.
Don’t you see many HiFi rose users are complaining similar issues here ?
And many satisfied users just enjoy their music and they are amused by the chronic complainers but don’t respond to them!
Who knows if it isn’t the same among Eversolo users ?
I once had the Eversolo A8 and Z8. They performed excellently without any issues for more than a year.
My point is the unfortunate case of @Gillesbonatti friend with Eversolo shouldn’t be generalized as an impression that the quality of Eversolo products are poor.
The same situation happens as well among HiFi Rose and other brands, whether famous or not.

I am so happy that my Eversolo T8 has just arrived. I originally expected I could only receive it around the end of month.

The T8 has many features, such as EQ, Room Correction, etc, which many of us RS130 users here have been requested for a long time.
Ok but here ; that is not Eversolo’s Site.
Looking forward to your initially impressions. Will you have locally stored files (SSD) and or networked drives (NAS) attached to the unit as well as using for streaming services?

Just connected the T8 to the RD160. It gives me a pretty good impression.
I have to admit that aesthetic and design-wise (except software), RS130 is way better.
But in terms of sound quality, the T8 (only an hour out from the box) is already on par with the RS130 that I have, and superior in user-friendly setup and operation.
For a third of the price of the RS130, I couldn’t complain the T8 more.
Frankly, I used to be a loyal hifi rose user. But many things (especially poor customer service attitudes) are gradually pushing me away.
TomT,
I’m sorry to say this is ominous for the future of HiFi Rose unless they get their act together on the software.
Right behind EverSolo’s RS 130 clone is their RD 160 DAC clone. They even copied the display format!

I would argue that I would not be able to hear any difference between digital transports and that the first checkpoint for me to hear any differences at all would be the DAC. That said, the T8 apparently does most of what I would want the transport to do from an audio perspective. Sure it doesn’t look as good as the RS130 – understatement of the year – I am curious about its ease of use and stability. Keep us posted.
Tom, I’d like to get your assessment of the user interface on the T8, including playlist management - especially how random play is handled. Based on your initial impressions, it seems like the UI will be the tilt factor for one vs the other.
Not sure if you use Apple Music, or if you even want to try it, but I’d be curious if the T8 successfully performs gapless playback from Apple Music.
