The recommended queue is at the bottom of the queue just after the “ordinary” one. To the right of “Recommended queue” it appears “Auto play” and it is possible to select “on” or “off”. I think it is “on” by default, which is, in my opinion, a bit absurd, but it is easy to change,
@ROSEHAN
Comments noted in this topic’s track are the type of things that need to be reported to the head of the UIF Development team. At minimum (regarding the above 2 posts), report the following two things:
-
set default of Recommended Queue to OFF
-
Change UIF for one click play Album (re: @StandardModel’s post at The Decision Tree needs to be improved - #16 by StandardModel)
Please re-read all posts in this topic and report all the unintuitive things people have stated. If all unituitive UIF comments (from all topics) are reported to the UIF Development Team & resolved by end of 2025, HiFi Rose’s owner base will be happy puppies (echoing the great news world-wide; thus, influencing many more buyers and many more distributors).
joyofmvid,
I have suggested this before but it didn’t go anywhere. HiFi Rose doesn’t seem interested in producing a user manual for the software. Perhaps we could do a Wikipedia for the software on a subsection of this forum so that a user could find out how the various functions (and inscrutable icons) in the software can be clearly explained. Do you think that it’s feasible and that people would contribute to it or that it would help users?

That’s a good idea. I’ve never entered anything on Wikipedia so I don’t know if screenshots can be entered, table of contents cyberlinks, etc.
I know by creating the RS130 User Interface topic, there’s a lot of complexities in the UIF. If the UIF is simplier and consistent, creating a User Manual would be easier.
BTW, I can help only as an editor because I don’t yet own the RS130. Currently, I’m planning on buying the RS130 & possibly the RD160 in late-2025.
I suggest it’s best we keep encouraging HiFi Rose to continue improving the UIF (simplifying, making UIF more intuitive & consistent).
As an interim, we could see if 3 community members are willing to each create a community topic for the RoseConnect premium app - one topic for the Android app, one for the ios app & one for the windows app. These topics to describe the user interface starting from the Home page and then describe the interactive layout and the interactive icons on the Home Page. Then describe the interactions to go from Home to “select Music”. Lastly (for now), describe the Music screen layout & interactive icons.
This will be a lot of work. I’m willilly to do cut & paste from the topics to a PDF document (maybe HiFi Rose can provide space & link to the User Manual PDF document)
The above is just a few thoughts.
joyofmvid,
I wasn’t suggesting we do a real Wiki, just a separate topic in this forum which listed each function or icon (ala three dots) and explained what it did and how to use it. Everybody would be free to add to it.
As it is, It’s really hard to find out if a question has been answered before. I’m sure Rosehan has answered the same question hundreds of times. A central organized place where all questions could be answered would be great. Organization would be the key. I would propose that there be a picture of each screen in each program with numbers linked to each variable on a given screen which would be explained below the picture. Do you have any better ideas for organization?

What you’re suggesting is developing a website. Here, you’re on a forum with topics and posts.
How do you plan to proceed then?
I definitely like the idea. Since I have not yet purchased a HiFi Rose, I won’t be able to help. Let me know if you desire me to do something ← I’m willing to put effort for this cause.
domrol,
Well if you’re suggesting Hypertext Transfer Protocol isn’t available to users inside the HiFi Rose website forum, I agree. That’s why I suggested using the very old fashioned method we all had to deal with: pictures, drawings and numbered footnotes. Old school for sure but still works.

You can create cyberlinks to topics or to a specific post. Hence, I think its doable.
