There isn’t any. That’s why us techno-masochists will have moved on to the next (partly) shiny new thing to be frustrated with because it isn’t perfect.

I am 100% guilty of this syndrome of becoming easily bored, always searching for the next new thing. Another down side of this syndrome is that you pay 5x for something that isn’t even finalized yet.
On the good side we get to discover wonderful things before others. Streaming video/music over the internet is a field rapidly coming in to its own. The devices to do this right are just now becoming available. It’s really fun to be there at the creation.

@BorisM here is the use case that I use it for … I will go into Tidal and click tracks (in my library) which is all of the tracks I have liked. Then hit random … and all of those tracks will go into a playlist. A big random list of random listening. Where it is limited as they cannot download 2K tracks. Ultimately … that is how I listen 90% of the time … while listening to new lists to “add more” as I go.

For sure @StandardModel … for sure. A lifetime of buying things before buying them as that is the “fun”. Well said on techno-masochists … MKVs … early ripping to create playlists on CDs … for sure (to the chagrin of those in our households who say “Why is this different? It was finally working”)

Is there a techno- addicts anonymous chapter I can join?
In my household I serve the master who is a Latin and Greek classics scholar (retired professor) and who does not appreciate anything with “wires”.

I can see utility in that; I do a similar thing with Roon from a local library and Qobuz. Alas, Tidal does not make it as easy as you’d think it should be…

@ROSEHAN @roseloa any updates? Been using my HiFiRose 150B for a couple months now and frankly … it is a clunky trying to use your app (which does not effectively bring over my lists) versus when I just want to use Tidal.

Any updates on Tidal Connect?

sooo much !
e.g. changing the same stream with several devices, nice algorithms, better UI, playlists/favourites kept (system sync just doesn’t work propperly) to name a few.

@ROSEHAN so what is the status on Tidal Connect? I see lots of updates to the software but NOT THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE - TIDAL CONNECT. Any news here? @ROSELOA

when will tidal connection finally be available??? All other much cheaper devices have it. What about you? your devices are among the most expensive streamers on the market and lack a basic function. Your tidal app is hopeless, we want tidal connect. when when when?

I have to agree with the requests for the past few years that Hifi Rose incorporate Airplay II, or at least fix Airplay which is so broken with skips and stutters it’s unusable, as well as incorporate Tidal Connect. The Hifi Rose app for Tidal is pretty bad.

Sound quality of the Hifi Rose 250ra is superb, no issues there, love it for that.

I’ve decided to sell my Hifi Rose because I can’t do the two simple things other inexpensive streamers can do very well.

I am really surprised that HiFi Rose have not provided an update on the implementation of Tidal Connect as it is one of the most talked about missing functions.

Tidal in the HiFi Rose app is pretty basic compared to other manufacturer’s and doesn’t fit well with such an expensive piece of equipment.

I agree, Tidal interface on HiFi Rose is very limited, and somewhat convoluted, Tidal does a great job in categorizing music, not sure why the limitation on HiFi Rose software. Too bad, such a great sounding product, such basic implementation of the User Interface.

I sold a really nice Simaudio 280D to switch to the 250ra, not saying it was an upgrade honestly, the Simaudio had a great interface and a seamless Tidal Connect.

We are working hard to support Tidal Connect. However, Tidal does not provide any help. We have to solve that problem ourselves. Please understand even if it takes time.

Well if I’m not mistaken it’s the first time Rose mentions they are actively working on tidal connect, which is a great news. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long.

Like many, I think this is the most expected feature for the Rose streamers. Can we get some details ? Is the plan to support it on all models ?

What are the problems you are facing ? Maybe there are people with connections at Tidal who could help ?

Please consider adding Tidal Connect. People buy the Hifi Rose to listen to Hifi audio, which means the majority of your users are using Tidal. Every other source can be controlled through the native app except Tidal, which seems odd given the audience. Adding Tidal Connect would allow users to use the native Tidal app, which everyone here would prefer. No one bought the Rose for the app. Please focus on hardware and integrate with native apps to provide the best of both worlds.

I come from an Eversolo and sold it, because of the buggy software. I consider to buy the RS130, but without Tidal Connect and Apple AirPlay II I see no investment of 5 K €. Without streaming Tidal Connect and other streaming services like SoundCloud, 5 K€ are not appropriate. Hope you will improve this. Then I buy one.
