I’ve recently purchased a 150b and I’m thrilled with the sound quality and can live with most glitches…but on occasion when using the volume control on the Rose app (or Roon app for that matter), the volume will begin rapidly advancing on it’s own to its’ maximum value. Like most other owners of Rose equipment, I’ve invested a large sum of money and time putting together a great set of speakers and power amp, and now I’m forced to jump across the room and hit the power control of my amp before blowing a speaker driver. This is a serious software flaw and should be addressed asap.

Do not adjust the volume bar in the RoseConnect app, but use the volume control function of the device using the RoseConnect app or press +/- to adjust the volume.

I would like to bring this one up again.
I own a RS520 and when changing the Volume between Computer App, RS520 itself, Mobile App and/or the Remote Control it becomes very bad in response, gets stuck or start suddenly to respond to the device and in- or decreases more or less uncontrolable.
Any fix or advise for this?
The only response I received was the above. However, even f I try to change the volume following these instructions, on occasion the device will continue to autonomously approach maximum volume until I quickly shut down the amp. I’m considering setting the device on a fixed output and using a seperate pre-amp for volume control, but regardless, I shouldn’t have to do that and it is a serious flaw that could damage components. It should be addressed at the software design level for safer and more reliable changes in volume.
I bought my 150b a month ago. I have the same problem but only on the remote control. If I press the volume key all is well, but if I press it steadily to stop at one point it does not stop and continues to increase the volume to 100% and there is no way to stop it, so I have to run away to decrease volume from the amplifier. To lower the volume, the same thing happens until it goes down to 0%. I use Roon and the volume here works perfectly. The rose connect app also works correctly. Should I go to my dealer to change the remote control or is it a software problem?

It happens for me when we I use the rose connect app on my phone. I have not had it occur with the physical remote control but will report if it happens then too

In my case, both with the mobile device and with the Rose and Roon app it works perfectly. The problem is with the remote control. For example, to turn the volume up from 40 to 70, it’s better to press the “+” button 30 times, because if you keep pressing it, even if you lift your finger when it goes through 60, it ignores it and continues to go up to 99. In response to ROSELOA questions:
-I have an android device.
-The issue could happen any time I change the volume too quickly.
-I don’t use the phone physical volume buttons. I also stay away from the slider on the app as suggested. I use the + and - buttons on the rose app but it’s happened with the roon app too.
-If I tap the + button on the app several times in a row, the volume continues on its own to 99. I then immediately shut off the amplifier to keep from damaging the speakers.
-I have not tried using the rose physical remote control.
-I currently have version 4.5 (latest version)

Habe meien Rs 520 seid ca. 3 Monaten, und auch mir ist es jetzt mehrere male passiert , dass sich die Lautstärke selbständig macht.
Bei mir passiert es aber nur, wenn ich die Fernbedienung benutze oder am Gerät selbst die Lautstärke einstelle.
Ich empfinde das wirklich als ein großen Mangel, und ein Grund das Gerät zu Reklamieren.
Ist seitens Rose etwas geplant diesen Ernsthaften Magel zu beseitigen?

This is a great unit and in my 6 month experience, this issue is the only significant concern I have come across
I use Android and i have the issue with the latest version of SW installed on PC, Mobile and Remote Control
I use the Mobiole buttons side of the deivce usually.
Happens pretty often, especially because it is very anoiing when it happens !

The dongle they supplied me had a blinking blue light and now it doesn’t do anything. I ask him to look for a wifi router and none appears.

You said bluetooth and wifi signal disappeared. Did the bluetooth and wifi button disappear? Or does that mean it doesn’t work?
If bluetooth and wifi signal disappeared is correct, follow the steps below.
RS150b–>Settings–>System settings–>Factory reset
If bluetooth and wifi don’t work, it’s likely a problem with the wifi dongle.
Contact the distributor in the country where you purchased the RS150b and ask for a dongle.
