Why when I repatriate FLAC audio tracks to a playlist from a USB key, do they lose their album art?

@ROSEHAN

Why when I repatriate FLAC audio tracks to a playlist from a USB key, do they lose their album art even though each track in the album itself has its own album art?

For example, the first track in the Playlist “An innocent man” does not have a photo of its album, but Hifi Rose Logo, while the track in its album does have a photo of its album.

In the Playlist, if I select the track and display its metadata, the album photo still appears correctly.

Here are the screenshots attached :

@domrol

I have forwarded this to the software team.

Could you please send me the problematic album file to the email below?

You’ll find two tracks from my playlist via the link that I’ve just sent to you.
You can create a playlist with just these two tracks on the RS130, and you’ll see that the first track doesn’t have its album art.

What’s odd is that the smaller image (26 KB) doesn’t appear on the screen during playback, while the larger image (94 KB) does ?

I’ve sent the link of my examples @ eunseong96@citech.kr.

Why is this problem occurring?

Can you fix it for me?

@domrol

Yes, we have received the file you sent.

I have forwarded your email to the person in charge.
They are currently checking the contents.
They also have work to do right now, and even if they check it right away, it will take time.

I will let you know as soon as I get a response.

@domrol

I have replied to your email.
Please check your email

@ROSEHAN

Can you create a playlist from these two FLAC tracks and tell me if you see the album art appearing while it’s playing?

Please take a screenshot of the playlist created with these two FLAC files, as I did in my message above, and then send it to me.

@domrol

I have replied to your email.

I’ve done the resets, and it doesn’t change anything.

I asked you to create a playlist with the two FLAC tracks to see the issue with the album art appearing.

Have you created this playlist?
What did you notice?

If you have not created this Playlist, I urge you to create it with the two FLAC tracks that I sent you and to check whether or not the album photos are present.

@domrol

We also confirmed that the album art is not displayed when the track is added to the playlist.
We confirmed that the album art is displayed normally when other tracks are added to the playlist.
We will additionally check the detailed issue with the server team and let you know.

Thank you ROSEHAN, I’m waiting for the answer.

@ROSEHAN

I’ve emailed you all the elements you’ll find on Google Drive.
It’s very easy for you to create a playlist with just two tracks.
I have been waiting for constructive feedback from you for 10 days.

I asked you to create a playlist on RS130 with the two FLAC tracks to see the issue with the album art appearing.

Have you created this playlist?
What did you notice with their album art?

@domrol

The issue where album covers disappeared when added to a playlist has been fixed.
Data from July 21st to today has been restored, but data from before that date is not recoverable.
You’ll likely have to delete all data and re-register.
Please delete all data for the problematic album and re-register.

Thank you ROSEHAN.

You succedd to create a playlist with album art from my two tracks that I was sent to you ?

What was this technical fix?
Does the fix work without requiring new firmware?
What do you mean by “re-register”?

It still doesn’t work for me.

What should I do?

Can you confirm that you’ve created a playlist with the two FLAC tracks I sent you the link by mail onto Google Drive and that the two FLAC tracks have retained their cover art in the playlist?

@domrol

A new update is scheduled to be released this Wednesday.
The update may be slightly delayed, but if you delete the entire database on your Rose device after the update and then re-scan the database, the issue should disappear.

Thanks ROSEHAN.

But before I update this, which is very impressive for me:

Can you verify that creating a playlist with the two FLAC tracks actually displays their album art with this update?

@domrol

Yes, we have confirmed that in a future release, when you create a playlist consisting of two FLAC tracks, the album art will actually be displayed.
