On your ROSE device, if you select a location on the clock screen, you can view the weather and wind speed for that location at the same time.

Even if you have wind speed, compare it with your local weather forecast and you will find that the wind speed is not the same. At least that’s how it is on my 520. It usually says 2 km/h, although it has been really stormy here for two days on the coast.

I would imagine on the data that your local city provides.
And unlike Bonte’s comment… the local wind speed matches what my other weather app has to say.
My guess is that they are both pulling data from the same source.
(Considering that in Chicago, you can also select certain neighborhoods while in other cities you can’t.)

Not all locations provide wind speed information.

Wind speed is displayed only for locations where the weather data available on our server includes wind speed information.
