[New Product Launch] RW800 - ROSE AIR Lite Launch & Special Promo

And why was the Qobuz Connect integration rolled out via a software update?

They’ll definitely do that with the next generation of devices, if it’s still relevant by then.

And in my experience Qobuz Connect still didn’t work correctly.

Is the rw800 available for sale yet in the USA? if so where, and how do you get the discount if you have another Rose product?

Music Direct has the RW-800 on their website, but it’s for pre-orders. $249.

I’ve e-mailed Hifi Rose, at their supposedly “NEW” e-mail address, and as expected, received no response after 10 days.

These guys make pretty good gear, but they suffer from typical customer support attitude seen from most Korean companies…like Samsung and LG.

You can call the (312) number and ask them about it.
They are pretty responsive.

Dear HiFi Rose users

Thank you for sharing your questions and feedback regarding the RW800.

First, please note that Qobuz Connect and TIDAL Connect have different technical requirements, certification processes, and implementation methods defined by each service provider. Therefore, the fact that Qobuz Connect could be added to existing ROSE devices through a software update does not necessarily mean that TIDAL Connect can be implemented in the same way.

The RW800 was developed to complement existing ROSE streamers where certain services, such as TIDAL Connect, cannot be directly supported, while also providing access to a wider range of the latest streaming services. The RW800 is not a required purchase; customers can choose whether to use it depending on the streaming features and services they need.

Regarding the RW800 launch promotion, pricing and promotional benefits may vary depending on the distributor and sales policies in each country or region. Therefore, a promotional offer available in one country may not necessarily be available under the same conditions in another.

We sincerely apologize for any confusion caused by the lack of clear information regarding RW800 availability and promotions in the U.S. We will check the details with the relevant U.S. team so that we can provide more accurate information.

Thank you for your continued interest in HiFi ROSE and for sharing your feedback with us.

@ROSEHAN

With all due respect, this still doesn’t address the questions U.S. customers have repeatedly asked about the RW800.

HiFi ROSE is now both the manufacturer and the U.S. distributor, so there should be no ambiguity about who can provide these answers:

What will the promotional price of the RW800 be in the United States, and when will it actually be available for purchase?

These are not complicated questions. Various forum members have asked them no fewer than five times regarding the U.S. market, yet we still have not received a definitive answer.

This is precisely the communication problem several of us have been raising since HiFi ROSE announced that it was taking direct control of U.S. distribution. If you’re going to promote a new product and simultaneously assume responsibility for distribution in one of your major markets, basic information such as pricing and availability should already be established and readily communicated to customers.

Please provide U.S. customers with a clear answer: What is the RW800 promotional price, and on what date will it be available for purchase in the United States?

HiFi ROSE USA received its shipment of the RW800 last week and is currently in the process of distributing the units to authorized dealers across the United States.

In the U.S., we are planning to offer a special promotional price for existing HiFi ROSE product owners. The exact promotional price has not yet been finalized.

For the most up-to-date information regarding pricing and availability, please contact HiFi ROSE USA tomorrow at:

Phone: +1 (949) 331-1232

As far as I am aware, some authorized dealers in the U.S. have already started selling the RW800.

We apologize that this information was not communicated more clearly earlier, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.

@ROSEHAN

Thank you for responding, but unfortunately, I think this reply further illustrates the communication and planning concerns that several of us have been raising about the transition to HiFi ROSE USA.

HiFi ROSE is now the U.S. distributor. You have confirmed that the RW800 inventory arrived last week, units are currently being distributed to authorized U.S. dealers, and, according to your own response, some dealers have already started selling the product .

Yet HiFi ROSE apparently still cannot tell us what the promotional price will be, what the established U.S. pricing is, or even identify which authorized dealers currently have the RW800 available for purchase.

How is that possible?

If authorized dealers are already selling the RW800, presumably they have been provided with pricing and commercial terms by HiFi ROSE USA. And if a special promotion for existing HiFi ROSE owners is being advertised or planned, why wasn’t the promotional price finalized before inventory was shipped to dealers and sales began?

Telling customers to call HiFi ROSE USA tomorrow for information that HiFi ROSE itself should already be able to provide here only reinforces the communication problem.

This is exactly what some of us were concerned about when the direct-distribution transition was announced. It continues to feel as though announcements are being made and products are being rolled out before the logistical and customer-facing details are fully established and communicated .

These aren’t obscure technical questions. Customers are simply asking:

What is the U.S. retail price?
What is the promotional price for existing HiFi ROSE owners?
Which authorized U.S. dealers currently have the RW800 available?

If units are already being sold in the United States, HiFi ROSE USA—the U.S. distributor—should be able to answer all three.

I appreciate the apology regarding the earlier lack of communication, but the best way to address that problem is with clear, definitive information. Unfortunately, this response still leaves customers searching for answers to questions that should have been settled before the first RW800 was shipped to a U.S. dealer.

As of 9/1/26. Whoever owns the transition from Mofi to Hifi Rose in the USA is woefully underprepared for the role.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your concerns regarding the communication of RW800 pricing and availability in the U.S.

We would like to provide the confirmed information below.

The U.S. retail price of the RW800 is $249.

For existing HiFi ROSE product owners, a special promotional price of $179 will be available.

Currently, the RW800 is available through the following authorized dealers in the United States:

  1. Audiophile Music Direct — 312-738-5022
  2. The Sound Advantage, LLC — (248) 656-1611
  3. Hippo’s Home Entertainment — (518) 482-1864

We apologize that this information was not clearly communicated earlier. We appreciate your patience during the transition to HiFi ROSE USA and will work to provide clearer and more timely information going forward.

Thank you for your continued interest in HiFi ROSE and the RW800.

Thank you. This is exactly the type of clear and definitive communication I was hoping to see from HiFi ROSE USA.

You have now answered the questions directly: $249 U.S. retail, $179 for existing HiFi ROSE owners, and three authorized dealers where the RW800 is currently available.

I appreciate the acknowledgment that this information should have been communicated more clearly earlier, and I especially appreciate the commitment to improving communication going forward.

I have been critical of how the U.S. transition has been handled, and I believe that criticism has been warranted. But I also believe in giving credit where it is due. This response provides customers with the specific information they were asking for and is a positive step in the right direction.

Hopefully this level of transparency and responsiveness becomes the standard for HiFi ROSE USA going forward. If it does, I think it will go a long way toward rebuilding confidence among U.S. customers.

Hey @duffer5
Of the dealers listed… I’d say go for Music Direct.
They are ‘local’ to me. (No store front)
They are fairly responsive and sometimes have some killer deals.

Unfortunately, I have to come back and update this thread because the situation with the RW800 in the U.S. is even more confusing than it appeared before.

After repeatedly asking HiFi ROSE for definitive information regarding U.S. availability and the promotional pricing for existing owners, HiFi ROSE finally responded with what appeared to be very specific information:

The U.S. retail price is $249.

The promotional price for existing HiFi ROSE owners is $179.

HiFi ROSE also specifically told customers to contact HiFi ROSE USA at the phone number they provided for the most up-to-date pricing and availability information and subsequently provided a list of authorized U.S. dealers.

Great. I thought we finally had some clarity.

So today I did exactly what HiFi ROSE instructed customers to do: I called HiFi ROSE USA.

What a complete mess.

I was told that the U.S. location does not deal directly with consumers and has no way to sell me an RW800. I was told that this location essentially deals with partner sellers/dealers, not end customers.

So why were customers specifically instructed by HiFi ROSE to call this number regarding RW800 pricing and availability?

It gets even more frustrating.

The authorized dealers HiFi ROSE recommended apparently have no clear information about the advertised $179 existing-owner promotional price either. So HiFi ROSE announces a special price, tells us which dealers have the product, and directs customers to its U.S. operation for information—but when you actually follow those instructions, HiFi ROSE USA can’t sell you the product and the recommended dealers don’t know how to provide the promotion.

How exactly is a U.S. HiFi ROSE owner supposed to purchase an RW800 for the advertised $179 promotional price?

This should be an incredibly simple transaction.

HiFi ROSE manufactures the product. HiFi ROSE USA is now the U.S. distributor. HiFi ROSE established the $179 promotional price. HiFi ROSE identified the authorized dealers. Yet somehow the customer is still left trying to figure out how to actually buy the product at the price HiFi ROSE itself announced.

This is precisely the concern some of us raised when HiFi ROSE announced that it was taking over U.S. distribution directly. There seemed to be a lot of fanfare surrounding the transition, but the basic customer-facing logistics didn’t appear to be fully established. Unfortunately, my experience today only reinforces that concern.

This isn’t about being impatient or looking for something to complain about. I am literally trying to give HiFi ROSE my money and purchase its product at the promotional price HiFi ROSE publicly told us was available. I followed the instructions provided by HiFi ROSE, called the number HiFi ROSE provided, and contacted the dealers HiFi ROSE identified. I’m still unable to get a straightforward path to purchase the product for $179.

That is an extraordinary amount of confusion for something that should require little more than: “Here is the promotional price, here is where you can purchase it, and here is how you verify that you are an existing HiFi ROSE owner.”

Instead, customers are being sent from one place to another trying to piece together information themselves.

HiFi ROSE, please provide one definitive answer:

Where, specifically, can an existing U.S. HiFi ROSE owner purchase the RW800 today for the advertised $179 promotional price, and what exactly does the customer need to do to receive that price?

No more referrals to another phone number or vague directions to contact a dealer. Please provide the actual purchasing process.

This entire experience has been an unnecessary and frustrating waste of time—and, unfortunately, another example of why some of us have been questioning whether the U.S. transition was truly ready for customers when it was announced.

First, we sincerely apologize for any confusion caused by our previous communication.

To clarify, HiFi ROSE USA does not sell products directly to consumers. HiFi ROSE USA handles distribution through its authorized dealers and partners in the United States.

If the RW800 had been available for direct purchase from HiFi ROSE USA, we would have instructed you to purchase it directly from HiFi ROSE USA rather than providing you with the contact information for authorized dealers.

We have also been informed that you have already been in contact with HiFi ROSE USA.

For inquiries regarding purchasing, availability, promotional pricing, or other product-related matters in the U.S., HiFi ROSE USA may be able to provide the most up-to-date information regarding the local distribution and dealer situation.

We understand that you have already spent considerable time trying to obtain clear information, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this process has caused.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

With respect, this response still seems to miss the fundamental issue.

Nobody is confused about the fact that HiFi ROSE USA does not sell directly to consumers. The problem is that your own communications created the confusion and sent customers through a process that apparently wasn’t properly coordinated in the first place.

HiFi ROSE publicly announced that the RW800 would be available in the U.S. for $249, with a special $179 promotional price for existing HiFi ROSE owners . You then specifically identified authorized dealers where the product was supposedly available.

I followed those instructions.

The dealers I contacted had no idea how to provide the $179 promotional price that HiFi ROSE had announced. I then contacted HiFi ROSE USA directly and discovered that they could not sell me the product and that their operation was focused on supporting dealers and partners.

So respectfully, telling me now that HiFi ROSE USA does not sell directly to consumers does not address the problem. I already discovered that myself after following the directions HiFi ROSE provided.

The relevant question remains: How was a U.S. customer actually supposed to purchase the RW800 for the $179 promotional price that HiFi ROSE publicly announced?

That should have been established before the promotion was announced .

The participating dealers should have known about the promotion. They should have known the promotional price. They should have known how an existing owner qualified. HiFi ROSE USA should have had the same information. And customers should have been given one clear purchasing procedure from the beginning.

Instead, customers were left navigating between HiFi ROSE, HiFi ROSE USA and authorized dealers trying to determine how to purchase a product at a price your company advertised .

That isn’t simply “confusion.” It is a breakdown in communication, planning and execution.

And unfortunately, this latest response continues the same pattern. You state that HiFi ROSE USA “may be able to provide” current information regarding purchasing, availability and promotional pricing. Why may they be able to provide it? They are your U.S. distributor. If they don’t have definitive information about your U.S. pricing, promotions, inventory and participating dealers, who exactly does?

This is precisely why I have been so critical of the transition to HiFi ROSE USA. There have been announcements and promises, but the customer-facing logistics repeatedly seem to follow afterward.

I appreciate the apologies, but at this point I don’t think additional apologies are what customers need. They need accurate information, coordinated dealers, clear procedures and consistent execution.

The RW800 situation should have been incredibly simple: $249 retail, $179 for existing owners, here are the participating dealers, and here is exactly how to receive the promotional price.

It never needed to become this complicated.

HiFi ROSE makes some excellent products. But premium hardware needs to be supported by equally professional communication and customer service. I sincerely hope the company recognizes that the problem here wasn’t customers failing to understand the process. The problem was that HiFi ROSE apparently did not have a clear, coordinated process ready for customers when the promotion was announced.

@duffer5

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to explain your concerns in detail.

We understand your point, and we agree that simply explaining that HiFi ROSE USA does not sell directly to consumers does not address the issue you raised.

The key issue is that the RW800 was announced in the U.S. at a retail price of $249, with a promotional price of $179 for existing HiFi ROSE owners, but a clear and consistent purchasing procedure for receiving that promotional price was not properly communicated to customers and participating dealers.

Customers should not have had to contact multiple dealers and HiFi ROSE USA to determine how to receive a promotion that had already been announced. The purchasing procedure, participating dealers, and method of verifying existing HiFi ROSE ownership should have been clearly coordinated and communicated.

We appreciate you pointing this out, and we are reviewing this matter with our U.S. distribution team to confirm the correct purchasing procedure and promotional details.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We understand that what is needed here is not another general explanation, but clear and consistent information.

Best regards,

@ROSEHAN, thank you. I appreciate this response.

This directly addresses the issue I have been raising, and I appreciate HiFi ROSE acknowledging that the problem was not simply a misunderstanding about HiFi ROSE USA’s role as a distributor.

The issue was exactly as you have now described it: a $179 existing-owner promotion was announced to U.S. customers before there was a clearly communicated and apparently fully coordinated process for customers to actually obtain that promotional price.

That distinction is important.

I also appreciate your acknowledgment that the participating dealers should have been informed, that the method for verifying existing HiFi ROSE ownership should have been established, and that customers should not have been left contacting multiple dealers and HiFi ROSE USA trying to determine how the promotion worked.

That is precisely what made what should have been an extremely simple purchase so frustrating.

I give HiFi ROSE credit for acknowledging this rather than continuing to explain the distribution structure. This response demonstrates that you now understand the actual concern.

The next step, however, is execution.

Since you indicated that you are reviewing the matter with the U.S. distribution team, I hope HiFi ROSE will come back to this thread with a definitive answer that everyone can reference:

Where can an existing U.S. HiFi ROSE owner purchase the RW800 for $179, which dealers are participating, what documentation is required to establish existing ownership, and what exactly should a customer tell the dealer when requesting the promotional price?

Once those questions are answered and the participating dealers have been properly briefed, this issue should finally be resolved.

More broadly, I hope HiFi ROSE uses this experience as a learning opportunity for the new U.S. distribution operation. Promotions, product launches, warranty procedures and other customer-facing programs should be completely coordinated between HiFi ROSE, HiFi ROSE USA and the dealer network before they are announced publicly.

That would prevent customers from having to navigate the organization themselves to determine how something is supposed to work.

I have been critical throughout this process when I believed that criticism was warranted, so I also want to be equally clear when HiFi ROSE gets something right: this is the type of direct acknowledgment and substantive response I have been asking for.

Thank you for addressing the actual issue.

I look forward to seeing the final purchasing procedure once your review with HiFi ROSE USA is complete.

How in the world has this not been responded to? Where are we supposed to go to pay an unnecessary amount to get features that are available on every other streamer?
