You can’t enter alpha characters you need to pull up the numeric keyboard to enter your pin.
I must say, with all due respect, you are one of the whiniest people I’ve ever interacted with. All you do is complain and I would bet a dollar to a donut that you screwed something up. I used to enjoy the community forum and Boris made me take a break. Now Boris is a little better and you are a total narcissistic bore.Give it a rest man and get some basic gear you understand if possible!
On my RS130 screen I had no trouble seeing the entire alphanumeric keyboard without doing anything.
Wow.
On the RS520 its split so you have to pull down the Numeric keypad.
Dear, I’m complaining because I paid thousands for a product that, after the first software update, makes a shitty sound. Is that clear to you? Why am I complaining?
@JMBARG
Ok, did you do a factory reset?
Did you try to revert to an earlier release and then do the upgrade again?
(also doing a factory reset? )
Did you check your settings?
I am not your dear and of course I understand what you’re all about. I will just be sure to avoid wasting my time reading about your problems with making your Hifi Rose work! I do hope you figure it out though so you can enjoy your music like we all aspire to do!Cheers!!
I’ve done everything you could possibly ask me and more. The people at HiFi Rose claim they haven’t messed with the DAC’s operation (which I don’t believe, because my system doesn’t sound like it did before the update). I’m afraid I’ll have to wait until the next update and cross my fingers that they fix everything they messed up with the current one.
I’m kinda at a loss.
Sorry that you’re hearing something differently.
Have to wonder if your settings got mucked up in the upgrade.
I don’t know anything about your system, but have you tried any other sources like a turntable or CD player since the update? You may have mentioned this but I don’t want to go back to read, I apologize in advance if you have.
@ Jmbarg
Have you tried to change the fir filter to slow roll off? as I described on aug 25.
Is this version stable? I read a lot of this, but I don’t see where anyone is stating they updated there streamer and all worked as planned. I have a new RS150 and it came loaded with version 4.7. I don’t feel like updating if I am going to have issues. So, has anyone updated a RS150 with success?
I have a few things to check.

Please tell me the version information of your RS150.
RS520–>Settings–>System info–>System version info
The current Rose OS version for the RS520 is 5.9.07. -
Does the same issue occur after resetting your RS520 to factory settings?
RS520–>Settings–>System settings–>Factory reset
If your system version is 4.7, it seems you haven’t updated in a very long time.
If your RS150 is currently running version 4.7 and is working without any issues, you can continue using it. However, we recommend updating to the latest version to experience the new features.
Hi ROSEHAN,
The Rose OS version of my RS520 is 5.9.07. After performing a factory reset, I still encountered the issue I reported, and each time I needed to unplug the power cable and restart the unit. However, the problem has not reappeared in the past two days.
My device is RS 150B and it works perfectly after updating. The new version solved the problem described in the thread “Skips while playing by its own”. I have never had this issue since then.
