  1. After updating to V5.9.07, you must update the RoseConnectPremium App to the latest version to ensure that ROSE devices can be discovered.
  2. Due to added security authentication features in V5.9.07, you will be required to enter an 8-digit PIN code the first time you access the following settings:
  • Storage
  • Ethernet
  • Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth
  • Device Management
  • User Account

What happens when we are not in Daylight Savings Time?

If we use wired Ethernet, does the PIN code requirement and all the internal RED control get switched off?

What PIN code is this? And where can I get it? Or will I need to set a PIN myself?

Wow, lots of bug fixes to current music playback glitches. I am pretty excited to test this out.

Eleven,

True.
Lots of bug fixes.
Stable too!
Christmas in August.
Are you related to Ten or Twelve?

Still waiting for the ability to search/order Playlists.
We do have Recent, Frequency, Preference and Thumbs Up but no search or A-Z, Z-A.
this is really asking for an Ice Cream Sundae but could we combine playlists from different services (i.e., Qobuz, Tidal and Apple) into one Playlist?

Currently no update is offered on my 150B, installed Version 5.9.02 (Switzerland). And „Aug, 18, 2025 (Fri)“ i not a friday

Same here. No update for my RS520. Still 5.9.02

I am assuming they meant 8/8/25, today, a Friday. I will go check my 130 now.

My RS130 is on 5.9.02 and I cannot update yet. StandardModel, have you updated yet and which Rose device do you have?

Eleven,

Yes, I have 5.9.18. RS 520 here in Ireland.
I’m very happy to see the changes.
In the Radio app the Local Popular Channels and Rose recommended channels ( Hindi? Afrique?) are not related to anything popular or that I listen to.

Update date: August 18, 2025 (Friday) 1:00 p.m. (GMT +9)

And I suppose that if the unit is not updated yet (no new firmware available on RS520 yet) and the rose connect for windows app updates itself when opening (mine did) the windows app crashes with java errors. Mine did anyway. And I cant find this 5.19.14 anywhere on the rose site … Well done :frowning:

Rose Connect PC/MAC:
[ Release ] Rose Connect PC(Official : Ver 5.9.14 )

Rose OS update, well, I guess it means waiting… It’s not that bad, but in my opinion, it’s just unprofessional. Also the way the links to software components are shared… It doesn’t have to be a Rose device

August 18, 2025 is a Monday not a Friday !
I’m assuming it’s a typo and they mean August 8.
Tried to update my RS520 this morning ( UK) . Still on 5.9.02 even after factory reset so I will have to be patient.

Given what it will cost me in time to resettle my favorite channels with their icons, I will wait:

  1. to see the feedback from other users
  2. that my own evolution requests be integrated

Am I the only one who doesn’t understand why you’re talking about an update that’s supposed to happen on August 18th on August 8th? Have you completely lost your mind over there?? Why are you making this announcement? I would recommend that you double-check everything several times and make sure the updates actually work, and only then, when they’re ready, inform your clients. You keep messing up with these updates anyway. Then it’ll turn out the update is delayed… I can already see it coming.

Because it was just released?

My Rose Connect for my iMac just updated today (8/9)

It could be that they are doing a staggered roll out … I don’t know.

What I do know is that for me the 5.9.14 for the iMac just updated and is working.
Looks like they added Qubuz ?sp? to the streaming apps.
I’ll have to look at my unit sitting in the other room to see what else was updated.

So no. I don’t think its going to be delayed. However… based on another member’s post in the community… there may be an issue w the Window’s version of Connect.

Note: I saw the Rose Connect update here on my macbook. I’ll have to see if my device was also upgraded, or that upgrade will happen later.

I think may have been a problem that I saw and posted about in the RS520 section.
Hope this is it and fixes it.

You set it yourself.
8 digits is a long pin code. Usually 4 should suffice since your device is only available on your local network or you have physical access to the device itself.
But that’s just my opinion.

VIK.

If the product manufacturer announces the update is due on August 18th, what’s the problem with waiting a few days? On the other hand, if you connect your device to the internet and the update is available before then, the device will notify you to perform it.

Don’t get angry, don’t worry, good things come to those who wait.
