It’s incredible to have no feedback, I left 2 private messages and I’m not the only one.
We would like to have the previous version.
On the private messages I communicated my email.

I just finished updating the RS130 (into RD160) and after listening before and after, about the only thing I hear is a little less gain. I bumped up the volume a bit and they sound the same to me - at least within what is our ability to “remember” the sound after some minutes.
My initial thoughts after installing the update on my RS130 are positive. It fixed the song to song transition issues that I had with the Qobuz Connect app. I also listened to selections from my music library on the internal SSD using the Rose Connect app and I had no issues. I did not hear any obvious diminution in sound quality but I can’t say I have spent an extensive amount of listening time yet.
My RS130 is outputted to my Mcintosh C2800 and my Trinnov Altitude 16 using the coax and optical outs of the RS130. Each of these units has its own DAC. The initial tests were through the Mac.
It is 5 AM in Korea…
I’m in the same position as you. I sent emails to both of them, including the technical support team on the official HiFi Rose website, but nothing came of it. I find this shameful and disrespectful to their customers.
You guys realize it is 5 AM on Saturday morning in Korea, right?
I’ve been waiting for this for two days! And I haven’t received a single response from HiFi Rose. I don’t expect personalized service at any time of day, we’re clear on that. As I mentioned, I’ve been waiting for help for two days.
I have seen enough complaints here about the OS over the past couple of months and how people would like to roll back to the previous version of the software. HiFi Rose should maintain a registered site that has previous downloadable versions for those folks who would like to revert. That way they don’t have to respond to every request individually.
100% agree whit you!
How does it sound once you reset all settings to what they were before?
WTF had happened that everybody here agrees??!!
After having to set everything up again, it sounds like crap, that’s why I’ve been complaining for 2 days.

Quite odd. Would be interesting if someone who had not updated yet would record the digital output onto a computer, then compared it with the output after update…
Lo que puedo decirte con toda seguridad, es que antes de la actualización el RS151 era una bomba de poder y el PrimaLuna Evo 300 Hybrid, le sacaba el jugo a más no poder…
What I can tell you with certainty is that before the update, the RS151 was a powerhouse, and the PrimaLuna Evo 300 Hybrid was getting the most out of it…
Could be. It just seems odd in that it would take extra programming effort to mess up with the signal going into the DAC. Unless the firmware misconfigures it into a NOS mode or something stupid like that. I could believe it someone fatfingering configuration settings when preparing a firmware image for one specific model.
It could be a thousand things and events, even an accidental human error. The only thing I can say about this is that you don’t change a winning team. If you had the DAC part sorted, why the hell did you change it? If I have Messi, Maradona, and Julián Álvarez up front, I wouldn’t change them for other strikers, right?
Indeed. Impossible to say without knowing exactly where the difference is. These being people who do not want to add PEQ to the “flagship” product, it’s unlikely that they would have added some sound processing on purpose.
Actually… they might have broken it while ripping out PEQ from the generic Rose OS setup.
The best thing is for them to stop messing around inventing weird things and fix what they destroyed.
