Sean Kim, a tomar por el culo.
On the Pink menu, where the updated updates there is a tab access to the early version
Be careful, itās a factory reset
For me itās very good.
You must also load the EA Rose Application
This anticipated version released in April 2025 was validated by the official version in June 2025 which is called 5.9
The EA version has for example Qobuz Connect
It must correspond to what we are looking for
Just another confirmation that this thread is for dimwits and cuckolds who canāt even manage a simple factory reset or roll back to an early access version. Not men, but hystericsā¦
Dear Sir,
Even companies that sell home printers, which cost thousands of dollars less than an RS151, offer 24-hour technical support, and if you have a registered product, a knowledgeable person who speaks your language will even call you on your cell phone. Donāt underestimate people; not everyone has your knowledge. In my particular case, I reset the factory settings and reconfigured the RS151, and the audio still sucks.
Roll back to the early access version, just keep doing something instead of whiningā¦
Dear Sir.
I have no idea where to get the previous version, and I have no idea how to do the procedure either. The people at Rose should take it upon themselves to help their customers, donāt you think? I wouldnāt go back to the previous version even if I were drunk. Who knows what disaster could happen? We have no idea if thereāll be any residue left from the garbage version I have now.
Iām also sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing after the latest update and I hope you get them sorted quickly and to your satisfaction.
Contrary to what you said about USA brands, may I remind you about the now infamous Sonos software update in May, 2024 which resulted in a massive drop in its stock price and the ultimate firing of the CEO. Despite subsequent platitudes and BS from Sonos to their customers, the problems and the arrogance of the company still remain.
FYI - my RS520 is performing flawlessly after the update.
Thatās exactly what I mean when I call you cuckā¦ds ā when you need to screw your wife you probably call the neighbor too, so he can watch. Dude, just press the TRY button next to EARLY ACCESS in system settings.!
Iāve tried what youāre saying, and for some reason it doesnāt work. It just keeps thinking and nothing happens. You think Iām going to spend so much time complaining if I havenāt exhausted all the possibilities? Your wife and mother are complaining that I wasnāt with them this weekend because I messed around with the RS151.
Looks like youāre not just a cuckold, but also a bullshitter ā and judging by everything, youāre stirring up drama here like a hysteric, still unable to press a single button because youāre afraid your precious RS151 will explode together with your stinking ass.
Now⦠letās calm down a bit
While I am not convinced that there actually is any difference in sound quality (above and beyond anything caused by the update again messing with audio preferences; although anything other than output voltage on pre outs isnāt going to be very noticeable), and in particular because it seems to be reported by people who also hear differences between SFP modules and brands of fiber, just knowing HiFi Rose and their approach to software development I would not be the least bit surprised if the update did break something.
All I know is that both 520 and 250, after confirming that audio output settings are set the way I want, they sound as well as they always did (which is to say that with judicious sub integration and careful convolution filter design you can get them to be about as good as a Bluesound Node, just much better looking). The new PIN code requirement though does look quite silly, and as much as I can believe in EU pushing an absolutely idiotic directive, it does very much seem that there is some misunderstanding of the requirements on Roseās partā¦
Do you have another DAC you can plug the 151 into or a CD player/transport that you can connect to the digital in of the 151? Might give you an idea where the update caused the problem on your 151.
I explained the procedure a little above.
At home the return to this version is perfect

Tell me, if you had the option to revert to the previous version, would you? At one point, you wrote that you wouldnāt, even if you were drunk.
And are you sure you canāt revert to the previous version, for example, by resetting it? Or does the update menu offer a way to revert to the previous version if you select the previous version?
I donāt have this player, but Iām considering buying it, which is why Iām asking these questions.
I had the opportunity to test the RS 151 with the new firmware, but I donāt remember the sound from the previous firmware, so itās hard for me to say whether the sound has changed since the last update.
The factory reset does not change the current version in any way
To return to it, you must put the version: Early Access as indicated above
Cougar2025.
I tried to do it, but it didnāt work. It pauses for several minutes and doesnāt work. On the other hand, if they messed up this update, Iām worried about going back, since we wonāt have a clear idea if any residue from the current version remains. For me, this is a closed issue, and Iāve confirmed that HiFi Rose as a company is shit for two reasons: 1) Theyāre releasing an update that destroys the audio of the product they launched this year, meaning they donāt even know what theyāre doing. 2) Theyāre shitting their customers because so far, there have been no responses, much less an apology.
If I were you, I wouldnāt buy HiFi Rose. I canāt go back and buy another product.
Boris.
I share your analysis and judgment. Letās not forget that the RS151 has another DAC chip, the ESS 9039PRO. This is very simple. How is it that before the update, my RS151 produced fantastic audio, but now it produces crap, completely flat and lifeless?
Important DATA:
With the previous version I could disable the balanced outputs, since my PrimaLuna Evo 300 hybrid only has unbalanced inputs, now I canāt do it, all outputs remain activated.
I had the same issue with my RS520.
Fortunately, I read the hint some postings after yours that you have to click on the Shift key in order to fill in the Pincode with the required numbers, since it does not accept alphabetic and other characters.
However, why did HiFi Rose irritade us with such a keypad? Who will directly come to the idea to switch on the Shift key to use the required numbers? Sorry, but I absolutely do not understand such kind of programming.
By the way, why do you write āPincodeā in the upper line and āPIN-Codeā in the header, the lower line, and the description below? I wonder, if there is any quality management, if even such simple errors are not recognized before publishing an new Firmware.
