If what Patrice P is saying is true then it is not the DAC or the filters that caused your problem. He has a separate transport (130) and DAC (160) and he updated the transport and not the DAC and it restored his sound quality. If you had done even a modicum of troubleshooting you may been able to isolate the problem. But no, you chose and still choose to shed more heat than light.

Hello ,the bass is less Good, extension is less important, listening is more in the médium,the lever seems lower ,i have to increase the volume,is it possible to return to the previous one.thank you .
I agree, it’s odd. But for the past 5 hours, I haven’t recognized my system. It’s just an observation, corroborated by my daughter who couldn’t care less about updates or other considerations. That’s just how it is…
If you are not in automatic update, did your system offer to you to do an update on the screen ?
Connection RS130/RD160 with I²S ?
Mine are connected via SFP+, I wonder if they didn’t touch something at the clock level, it’s just a guess…
In any case it’s good to know that we have the same RS130/RD160 pairing.
Mine are been assembled in 2025.
I tried AES/EBU and I2S, I preferred SFP+ with an Amphenol cable.
I have tried many connexion too and finally I prefere mine…
what matters is the satisfaction we get from it.

Which I2S cable? I tried an AQ Thunderbird and an AES/EBU Audio Sensibility
This one : Audioquest HDMI Vodka 48Gbps 0,6m
It won’t let me do the update. I connect the network cable to the RS151 and nothing happens. In fact, I go to search for the update where it belongs and it doesn’t work either. We’re off to a bad start again! Unless it has something to do with the fact that I’m in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the update isn’t available for a South American country yet?

'J’ai été obligé de charger le version d’essai (5.8) avec un reset usine et ensuite de charger la nouvelle version pour que ça fonctionne

Have you noticed a difference in SQ on your end with this upgrade?
When updating from EA to the official firmware, always a complete factory reset will startet.
