[OTA] SW Ver 5.7.05 Software Release ( RS130/RS520/RS150/RS250/RS201)

Let’s hope we get a reaction from Rose soon.

That´s what I hope, as well. Another user writes (hopes/guesses/knows?) the persistent VU meters will be fixed with next update.

Which will be…?

RoseConnect PC (Ver4.17.07) (Win/MAC) - #23 by ROSEHAN?

I don´t think that the RoseConnect app is the source of the VU meter problem. I guess it is the software for the machine, RS130 in my case.

But I might be wrong. Do you think the perseverative VU meters might be driven or, at least, might be terminated via the RoseConnect app (PC/Mac)?

Has anyone else lost the ability from the latest iOS app to connect to a networked file system? I keep entering my username and password but it just doesn’t do anything.

Hello @Bitspeed ,

Could you tell me if the issue still occurs even when this setting is turned off?

RS130 > IN/OUT Settings > USB menu > USB Audio Volume Control > Off

Best Regards,

Yes, the slider is set to off, it has always been set to off
But the issue is still there
In previous software version I did not have any problems
For now I use i2s instead of usb and the problem is gone but I prefer usb

Hello @Bitspeed ,

Would you double check if USB audio volume control and software volume control are both turned off?

If not, please turn off and try again.

Same here my 130, now USB and cox not work even all volume set off.
now I m using I2S, whats going on with this kind of experience here with this price range of device???
Terrible, no hope of Rose product…

Hello @SCM2016 ,

  1. What’s your DAC?
  2. Do you mean both volume settings are turned off, but it’s muted when you change song?

Best Regards,

Think I found it, I did set usb volume to off but forgot to press the apply button
Now it seems okay
Some buttons and sliders have effect immediately, and with some you have to save the settings by pressing apply

Thank you

I’m using Rockna wavelight dac, and I have tried other stramer without any issue with USB, I2S and Cox.

HiFi Rose has limitation on pairing with DAC?

I turned off the volume and not muted already. the music is playing but no sound. (I2S is work)

Hello @Bitspeed

Thank you for your feedback.
Also, as you mentioned, we will discuss making the use of the ON/OFF button more consistent.

Best Regards,

Hello @SCM2016 ,

There should be no issues with I2S and Coax connections. For USB, as well, if the RS130 recognizes the Rockna as a USB DAC, audio should play normally.

  1. In RS130 > IN/OUT Settings, is the Rockna recognized as a USB DAC?
  2. Are you using a fixed output setting on the RS130, so that volume adjustment is disabled?
  3. In RS130 > In/Out Settings > USB Output Menu, are both Software Volume Control and USB Audio Volume Control set to OFF, and have you pressed Confirm in the upper right corner?
  4. What volume level are you using on the Rockna?
  5. What kind of content are you playing? Does the sound still not play if you try Rose Radio?

Best Regards,

Always update my 250 and never had an issue until now. Scan is much faster but doesn’t fully work. Many albums that are correct and always worked fine on my hard drive come up without album art or have scans with the correct list and the same list with ._before it. So if I try to play an album with only the ._1,._2 track list, it’s skips them all and won’t play - yet the metadata on these tracks are correct on the drive. Some albums have both the incorrect and correct scans. I’ve reset and rescanned and it’s still doing this.!

I have the same troubles with my Daniel Hertz Maria Integrated DAC since 6 month! The software team isn’t able to fix this USB issue!

Guys the app gets stuck showing a track from way back in the Now Playing bar on the bottom. Is more a case of Was Playing

/oh wait you fixed it with this latest update cool :+1:

After the latest update, music streamed from Qobuz via Roon becomes silent every now and then. Progress bar on RS130 is moving. Rebooting RS130 solves the problem for few hours but is extremely annoing.

When you use usb connection to your dac make sure that: In RS130 > In/Out Settings > USB Output Menu, are both Software Volume Control and USB Audio Volume Control set to OFF ?
And have you pressed Confirm in the upper right corner?
