My RS130 Rose ID is : 0E6A0C
thanks .
Please check after power restarting the device.
I power cycled, I have done this power unplug many times. I have cleared the cache. Says situation is normal. But it still will not play rose tube videos, acts like it is going to play, but sluggish, then spinning circle forever spinning. all tidal music plays great. But no rose tube. I use hdmi out. Love my rs130 but software is always bad problem. Please consider paying you tube. All of us will pay you more if you need it to pay you tube, if this would just work. Thank you.
Also still missing early access button. Seems button is not there, it was before.

@Charrison
We apologize for the inconvenience. Since it is difficult to identify the exact cause at the moment, could you please restart the power and check one more time? Also, if you could share your email address, I will reach out via email if there is anything further to confirm.

In addition, please delete and reinstall RoseTube from the RoseStore, and let us know which version number is displayed afterwards."
It should be displayed as V 5.9.07.62
The power down again did not work.
But I deleted rose tube and reloaded it, and it updated to the version you said! Now rose tube works again! Thank you! Very happy to see it working again.
It’s working great! That new version fixed it. Thank you
Whatever you did to rose tube it’s working better than ever. ALSO TIDAL video are playing and they didn’t before. I’m very happy with rose tube right now. It’s working better than ever. Must be the new software.
Must be V 5.9.07.62. That really worked…and the speed is highly increased as far as loading and transition. It’s almost instant that a new video starts to play, loading time is very short. It’s never been this way until now. I love it. I hope it can stay this way.
Also the same videos on tidal, the tidal videos do not reduce the bit rate. You tube does reduce the bit rate if they can, you never know what you will get, as you tube, and rose tube by extension, randomly reduce the bit rate, and often ( if you re using apple tv box) you have to go and change this on apple tv box, which you cannot do on the HIFI rose hardware. But my observation is that the tidal videos are not reducing the bit rate of the delivery or adjusting the format it’s all 2160p. Rose tube has to take what you tube delivers and it’s not always 2160p ( it’s always available in 2160p). But you tube cuts it back at times automatically based on their algorithm, and this can be seen, slightly reduced resolution and color fidelity, when watching the videos on you tube/rose tube. So use tidal video folks if you want to insure the best quality.
I’m glad to hear that you are happy with the recent RoseTube updates.
Please note that when playing RoseTube videos on a Rose device, the resolution is currently limited to a maximum of 1080p. We would also like to support all the features that YouTube provides within RoseTube, but unfortunately that is not easy to implement.
We appreciate your kind understanding.
What about tidal videos? Is it 2160p.
Can you explain more?
Why does the system resolution say 2160 x3840 . So if you tube presents 2160p. Then rose tube only plays 1080p? The HIFI rose specs say the hdmi output is 4k?
When playing RoseTube videos on a Rose device, the resolution is limited to 1080p because the device display does not require full 4K support for playback.
As you mentioned, the resolution and frame information can be checked on the RoseConnect app from the RoseTube playback screen.
In the case of TIDAL videos, the playback supports the maximum resolution provided by TIDAL.
@Charrison
When connected to a 4K-supported TV via HDMI and the TV is powered on, Rose Tube plays in its original 2160p resolution. Please refer to the details below:
1. Playing video with the TV turned on:
- As shown in the image below, the video plays in 2160p resolution.
2. Playing video on the Rose device’s built-in screen:
- Due to the smaller LCD screen size, it is difficult to visually distinguish the difference even at 2160p. To avoid unnecessary high data traffic, the resolution is optimized to 1080p for playback.
Thanks for that information. I’m still confused though. If on you tube, rose tube a video is available at 4k or 2160p. Will it play out of the hdmi connector at 2160p.
I think you are saying yes it will. But that on the rs130 screen, the tiny screen on the unit itself, it’s been reduced to 1080p?
Also I’m saying that you tube often will reduce the bit rate automatically by itself to 1080. Even though it is content at 2160. Then you can go on you tube and force it to be 2160p. But on the rose tube interface you can not force it, because that control selector does not exist. It does exist on Apple TV box.
You should add that control. But it may not be possible since you do not pay you tube.
The point is that tidal videos always play full bit rate out of the hdmi, and rs130 displays it beautifully.
But on rose tube hdmi connector output, it’s not always 2160p because you tube randomly reduces the bit rate automatically to 1080p. And then rs130 plays it fine, you can barely see that it is not full bit rate, it’s noticeable.
There is no way to know if rose tube has accepted 1080p from you tube? There is no screen indicator it always says 2160p on rs130 settings/display. And hdmi and tv says it’s 2160p. But the thing is you tube already reduced it when it processes. Rs130 and rose tube can’t display this and may not know.
So people watch videos on tidal for full bit rate always. Rose tube is often reduced bits and you have no way to know, other than seeing picture a tiny bit softer with very slightly reduced contrast.
When the RS130 is connected to a TV via HDMI and you play a video through RoseTube on the RS130, the video will automatically be output at the highest resolution supported within the limits of that specific content.
However, the maximum supported resolution and video quality may vary depending on the individual video uploaded to RoseTube. For example, some videos support 2160p (4K), while others may only support 1080p or lower.
In all cases, playback will occur at the highest resolution supported by the video itself.
