[Release] Official v5.9 Feature Introduction

I just installed this new release on my 150b today. The cover art from Roon is still wrong or doesn’t show up at all. I just played several selections from a playlist in Roon and the cover art is blank. Still some issues to be fixed?

Sorry for the late response. I have been traveling.
The improvements I see in Playlist are its elevation to the same status and ability to search as other lists, specifically the ability to search playlists alphabetically and reverse or by liked or most recently played.

Another improvement I noticed is that I can tap the 3 dots associated with a song in Qobuz or Tidal playlists and now there is the ability to go to Artist or Album

Good morning.

I went through the series of OTA updates on my 150 B but when the system became available again I observed the following unexpected behaviour:

  1. No signal from LINE OUT despite the fact that the output was properly selected. I did not know exactly what to do in addition to verify that the amplifier was working, so I tried to reboot the 150B a few times and the iPad I use to control it and, after many attempts, including de-selecting and re-selecting the LINE OUT output, I got sound back;

  2. The app on the iPad could still control the 150B but the device showed as being unregistered although it was clearly visible on the app with its correct IP address. Re-registering did not work for quite a while. It took multiple reboots on the 150B and on the iPad and it seems that finally proper communication between the 150B and the app was restored;

  3. All the albums on my NAS are correctly recognised but the order of the single pieces of music is completely shuffled. This is the case both in the ALBUM view (on certain albums it was the case also before the update) and the FOLDER view (it was never the case before). I have not been able to solve this very annoying problem yet. Help is most welcome.

I’m good as well,using Qobuz Connect for a while now.Just dropped my Roon subscription and my SQ is the best it’s ever been.Anyone interested in an original nucleus?

Qobuz Connect… is the success still
contingent on disabling Daylight Savings Time?

On my windows PC When searching for artist names it white screens and I have to close the app.

Is there a possibility to decline update and that user interface is not asking every time when you start to make an update? It is annoying.

After the update is distributed, if your Rose device is not the latest version, a pop-up will appear asking you to update to the latest version. However, you can decline the update in the update pop-up.

If there is a version you want to revert to, please tell me the model name and version of your Rose device by email below, and I will send you the update file and update method.

If an update appears, say for the RS 151, it means that engineers have developed fixes that have an impact on improving the device’s operation. Otherwise, it would make no sense, my question is why would the user not do this update, but listen on the current version of the software of their device? After all, it is supposed to improve, for example, the stability of the device, eliminate some errors from the previous update, improve the operation of the device.
To sum up, in my opinion, there is no point in going back to a previous version of the software, only the latest version needs to be refined and anomalies that occur with owners of devices that occurred after the latest update was installed should be eliminated.

On updates of the Dac RD160, users complained about a degraded sound which forced the developers to put a previous program back online.

Unfortunately, updates are not always beneficial.

Being scalded (Rs150b, Rd 160 and now Rs130) I only make an update some time after its release

I find it hard to understand how sometimes they release a new update that doesn’t improve anything and just makes things worse. How can that be?

When something works as it should, it’s best to leave it as it is…
