Hello Hifi Rose Team,
After installation, the app sees my RS130, but can’t connect. Did I miss something?

I would like to point out that the old version 4.17.07 connects without any problem.

From memory, I had the same problem with 4.17.07, I had to install 4.14 and then upgrade to 4.17 to be able to connect… Now, version 4.17 does not offer the upgrade to 5.7. So there must be an installation problem (missing file or missing authorization)

I realise this is a beta release, and I’m very pleased to see it.

One obvious bug here - tracks on an album seem to be listed in alphabetical order, not track number order.

@the_bat
Glad it works for you, are you using the Win or MAC version?

I’m trying the mac version. I’m really surprised that a bug like this got through testing.

Hi all,
Windows installation works and seems to install well. But, the first opening froze, blank window and nothing happens. I close it and reopened. That time, the app start and search, but doesn’t found de RS150b by it self. I put the IP manualy and everything falled in place. I didn’t test much but no other issue so fare.

I had the same install problem as plamf. For the rest it works. There are some wrong translations.

Luckily, for me, I click on connection, nothing happens

Installation and connecting was fairly easy.
It is very fast in getting data from the RS520, almost like instant. Nice!

  • View Setting missing; I think the thumbnails and text are to large. There should be an option to change the size down to perhaps 20% of current fixed size.
  • Track order is by name instead of track #
  • Click on ‘Recommendation’ gets recommendations, next click does nothing.
  • Radio & Rose Radio need a Rose account logon. I would wish that there is no Rose account neccessary to operate functions of the audio device.
  • The mouse wheel has no function on the volume slider.

Again, the speed is really very nice! Fast!
The layout is nice too, only the icons and text are to large.

I completely agree. I have the original resolution on my Macbook but some of it is even cut off. You can still click on it though. I like it to be nice and big (the remote control is also nice and big). Unfortunately there are only 6 VU meters left.

But you also wrote that the app is not ready yet.

I’ll wait and see. I like it and it’s very similar to the Qobuz, Tidal or Roon app.

Keep it up, Rose. :muscle:t2: :+1:t2:

:v:t2:

Will the signal path actually appear in the app again once it’s finished???

I stream via Roon, but it was nice in the premium app.

As I said, we’ll have to wait and see. The app isn’t finished yet.

Findings on V. 1.0

IP Finder does not find the Rose RS150 (Manually adding IP works)
Only Partially Album Covers are shown - Re-Scan did not help (On the Mobile App the Covers show up properly). (updated: 4 hrs later it was OK)

Typo Issues

I’ll leave it installed for future testing. Still a long way to go.
