Status & Action Result

  1. Action taken
    :
  • Nov 7, 2025: The issue was forwarded to the SQA team with a request for urgent correction.
  • Nov 8, 2025: The SQA team confirmed that, intermittently, some CDs are recognized as a different disc or appear as “Unknown” during the ripping process. The findings were then forwarded to the Server Team.
  • Nov 17, 2025: Our Server Team provided the following response:
HiFi Rose currently retrieves metadata from the FreeDB database.
Each CD has a Disc ID, but because there are a vast number of CDs worldwide, Disc ID duplication can occur.
As a temporary solution, if you provide the track count, artist name, and Disc ID of the problematic CD, the server team can delete the cached metadata for that disc so that it can be queried again with the correct information.
