Introducing New Features in ROSE Connect Official Ver. 5.7!

Our latest Official OTA version will be available by early November!

This new release will feature a carefully curated selection of features that have passed our stability checks, ensuring the best experience for you.

In addition to the confirmed features, here’s a sneak peek at more functionalities included in this update:

1. Mobile Playback (Local Play) Mode

Previously, playback on RC Premium was only possible by connecting a ROSE device. Now, you can play content directly from your mobile device. Register your mobile through the device management menu, and after connecting, enjoy playback using the new [Local Play] feature on your phone.

2. ROSE Classic

ROSE Classic is a newly introduced section for classical music enthusiasts. Enjoy browsing one of the largest classical music catalogs and easily find your favorite pieces on ROSE Classic!

3. ROSE Amp ↔️ Streamer Power Sync

ROSE devices now allow synchronized power settings for both ROSE amplifiers and streamers within the ROSE streamer. Enable this feature through audio settings for a seamless power control experience.

4. New Media Scan Feature

  • Enhanced usability of the DB scanner with New Media Scan.
  • Improved DB speed for faster scanning.
  • Lifted the 300,000-song limit on the DB list.
  • Streamlined scanning across multiple paths to allow concurrent scanning.

  1. Music - Added playback for subfolders:
  • Play all music files within a folder and its subfolders, up to the queue limit of 3,000 songs.
  • For shuffle mode, select up to 3,000 random files from all subfolders.
  1. Media Library - New Auto Matic Rescan (for NAS only):
  • Automatically scans the DB at set intervals (options: Disabled, 8 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours).
  1. Weather Display on AOD:
  • Display weather information on the AOD screen (available with select themes).
  1. Improved File/Capacity Check Speed:
  • Faster speed when checking file sizes and capacity in the File Manager.
  1. RS130 - Expanded Connection Options:
  • Added USB DAC and SFP DAC connection options for RS130.

The new features will be available offline/locally on the ROSE device for music on internal SSD or only with registration/logon ??

Hm. Is this only update to Android /IOS version of Rose remote control? How it scans faster if there is no change in Rose OS? And how it reflects to File Manager as I have no File Manager on my phone, File Manager I can access only on Rose screen on my Rose 250A?

Wow, great enhancements so far.
Especially the enhanced databease scan functionality sounds great.

Is it possible to update from latest EA version to this stable version or is it needed to sign out from EA program on the device?

We took a long time to deploy this update, so there will be a lot of stabilization and feature additions.
The update will be distributed tomorrow.

Is this update available across the range, especially to older models?
Can I presume that older models will not receive anymore updates ie RS250? Is Rose turning into Sonos? Very poor if this is the case!!!

Thanks for the response, rightly so, yesterday I tried to connect the RS250A to the internet, it did not show the update, I wait a couple of days and try.

Why give an unfulfillable delivery date in the first place?! It only creates unnecessary pressure on HifiRose and disappointment to the customers.

Dear Hi-Fi Rose users

The release of the Rose OS Official Version, originally scheduled for Tuesday, November 5th, has been delayed due to the pending registration of the Rose Connect Premium App on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Typically, store reviews are completed within 24 hours, allowing apps to be registered promptly. However, this review process has taken longer than expected, preventing us from meeting our promised release schedule.

We are closely monitoring the status of the review and will initiate the release as soon as approval is granted.

Once again, we apologize for not being able to adhere to the release schedule.
Going forward, we will ensure the review process starts earlier so that updates can be delivered at the promised time through thorough preparation.
