No startup RS151 after FW update 5.9

Software update happend last days, after that, RS151 can’t be startup by device button on top of device.

Only way to start / wake up is to use power button in Roon PC software.

Then RS151 startup and shows following strange screen:
(app information + Neustart) => Pressing “Neustart” (Restart) than start device.

Pulling power plug for 5 min + cold start don’t change anything.

Please advice how to downgrad Firmware.

So, I do not have to write about this issue.

On my RS151 pressing the power button in any Roon App (iOS and Win tested) is even not reliable. I might have to press it several times before the RS151 is starting.

Please send us the instruction for downgrading.

I have an RS151, I did the latest update, and from what I’m reading, everyone is having issues. The main problem I’m having is the audio quality. I don’t know what they’ve changed, but now the audio comes out flat, dry, lacking texture, and lacking soundstage. The highs are like sandpaper, the mids are crap, and the lows are like butter. Basically, the sound is crap, and I’m very disappointed and angry with HiFi Rose.

I have the same issue with the RS250A. Removing the power cord DOES work for me, however

The update was a complete failure, and no one at HiFi Rose takes responsibility; they don’t even bother to assist us or answer our emails. This is my second unit; I bought an RS250A and then an RS151, and I understand that customers are cared for, not abandoned. If you buy a US brand, these things don’t happen! And now?

In my opinion, they don’t work on weekends like many others.
However, it’s good practice not to launch a production release the day before a weekend, knowing that no one will be there to fix any potential issues.
Unless an on-call team is set up, which doesn’t seem to be the case here.

This not only a issue with Roon.

I figured out, that I also have to press 2 x the power button on the top of my RS151 powering on the device.

  1. After updating, does your Rose device not power on when you press the power button?

  2. Does your Rose device continuously display a reboot message when you turn it on?
    Does the same issue occur even after you factory reset your Rose device?
    Rose device–>Settings–>System settings–>Factory reset

  1. Yes, it will only power on after a second press on the power button

  2. I have only seen the reboot screen two times. I did not enough test to get it reproducible. It also occurred after factory reset.

  3. Have send you a mail.
